SSC347 Missing You Homie

Hello All!  Today is another Sunday Stamps challenge, and I've got a fall flair home card for you.  Things are super busy this fall around my house and with my downline, so we are not getting a chance to meet up like we normally do with each new catalog release.  Rather, we are swapping cards through the mail.

This card uses the Humble Home bundle from the Sept-Dec Mini Catalog.  I'm still a sucker for a stamp-and-punch combo.

Here is this week's color combination.  Join us, won't you?

Stamps: Humble Home, Thoughtful Wishes, Sketched Plaid BG; Paper: Peach Pie, Calypso Coral, Cajun Craze, Balmy Blue, Misty Moonlight, Pecan Pie, Very Vanilla, Mediterranean Blooms DSP; Ink: Cajun Craze, Whisper White Craft, Versamark; Accessories: Opaque Faceted Gems, 3/8" Denim Ribbon, White Embossing Powder, Blending Brush, Humble Home Builder Punch, Banner Punch, Thoughtful Wishes Dies, Die-Cutting Machine, Dimensionals.

15th Annual Holiday Stamp-a-Stack

I'm so excited that our Running with Scissors Stampers group was able to hold the Annual Holiday Stamp-a-Stack again this year!  Each demonstrator designed an easily reproducible card for the attendees to recreate 3-4 times.  Attendees left with 12 handmade cards, ready for sending, as well as spent an enjoyable evening creating together.

I have several Christmas sets that haven't really seen ink.  For my card, I thought it would be fun to combine one of those retired sets with some current & new colors.

Stamps: Brightly Lit Christmas; Paper: Wild Wheat, Azure Afternoon, Pecan Pie, Basic Black, Very Vanilla, Whisper White; Ink: Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White Craft; Accessories: Snowman Builder Punch, Softly Falling Embossing Folder, Christmas Lampost Dies, Home Together Dies, Die-Cutting Machine, Dimensionals.

Here are the other cards from our group.  Arlene's:

Melissa's:

And here's a hostess gift created using the directions from Darla Watson.

Supplies: Christmas Gifting Kit, Mint Macron CS, Presents & Pinecones DSP, Real Red Cotton Ribbon, Starbuck's Frappuccino Bottle.

I am so happy we were able to gather together again!  I hope you can join us next time!  If you would like to stay informed of future stamping events, please "follow" us on eventbrite and join our Facebook group.

14th Annual Holiday Stamp-a-Stack

I'm so excited that our Running with Scissors Stampers group was able to hold the Annual Holiday Stamp-a-Stack again this year!  Each demonstrator designed an easily reproducible card for the attendees to recreate 3-4 times.  Attendees left with 12 handmade cards, ready for sending, as well as spent an enjoyable evening creating together.

For my card this year, I tried the Split 4 technique with Christmas Season.

The technique uses a full sheet of card stock to stamp onto and then trim into 4 cards, thereby making multiple cards quickly.  Here's a look at the sheet before trimming.

Stamps: Christmas Season, Framed & Festive; Paper: Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla; Ink: Cherry Cobbler, Crushed Curry, Old Olive, Mossy Meadow, Soft Suede, Early Espresso; Accessories: Rustic Metallic Dots.

Here are the other cards from our group.  Arlene's:

Grateful Sleigh

Good morning, All! I've been wanting to put my Christmas Barn set to use, so I looked up a fun & quick example (I found Amy Koenders's card), while following Color Throwdown #720 color combination.

I felt like highlighting both the barn and sleigh in one card was a little too busy for me, so Amy's neat use of subtle background stamping was perfect. The mug is a little downline appreciation gift.

Stamps: Christmas Barn, Country Home; Paper: Garden Green, Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Painted Christmas DSP; Ink: Garden Green, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Stampin' Blends; Accessories: Flowers for Every Season Gems, Barn Dies, Die-Cutting Machine, Dimensionals.

Stampin' Up! Design a Treat

Hi All!  I thought the Design a Treat bundle was so cute, and I can't pass up an opportunity to make little crafty treats.  I was short on time before meeting some friends for lunch, so I quickly put these guys together before heading out the door, filled with Hershey's Nuggets.

Stamps: Design a Treat; Paper: Blackberry Bliss; Ink: Versamark; Accessories: Googly Eyes, White Embossing Powder, Design a Treat Box Dies, Die-Cutting Machine.

And one more... these get addictive quick!

Stamps: Design a Treat, Pick a Pumpkin; Paper: Old Olive, Expressions in Ink DSP; Ink: Pumpkin Pie, Memento Tuxedo Black; Accessories: Blending Brush, Patterned Pumpkins Dies, Design a Treat Box Dies, Die-Cutting Machine.

A shout out to Charlet Mallett, and her Stamping Society group, for their great ideas!

SSC291 Nature Rings

Hello & welcome to another Sunday Stamps color challenge.  It has been so hot and dry in New York, that sunflowers are some of the few things surviving.  All the little critters are suffering.  Even the leaves are falling off the trees early.  It's been a tough and unsatisfying summer.

For this week's challenge, I thought Ringed with Nature would work well with these lovely fall colors.

Here are this week's colors.  Hope you'll join us!

Stamps: Ringed with Nature, Rays of Light BG; Paper: Crushed Curry, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Basic Black, Whisper White, Watercolor Paper; Ink: Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry, Old Olive, Soft Suede, Versamark; Accessories: Fine Sparkle Gems, White Embossing Powder, Aquapainter, Brayer, Tree Rings Dies, Die-Cutting Machine.

Using blue background is my "neutral", I created a second care with Ringed with Nature.

Stamps: Ringed with Nature; Paper: Pool Party, Basic Black, Whisper White, Watercolor Paper, Rings of Love DSP, Painted Seasons DSP; Ink: Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry, Old Olive, Crumb Cake, Versamark; Accessories: Flowers for Every Season Gems, White Embossing Powder, Aquapainter, Tree Rings Dies, Rectangle Stitched Dies, Die-Cutting Machine, Dimensionals.

The Stamp Review Crew: Trees for Sale

Stamp Review Crew Blog Hop: Inspiring you one stamp set at a time

Welcome to another Stamp Crew Review Blog Hop!  We share our take on a selected stamp set every first and third Monday of the month.  This week we are focusing on a fun Aug-Dec Mini set, Trees for Sale.  If you are following the hop in order, you have just arrived from the blog of the very talented Holly Krautkremer.

In need of a birthday card for my sis who is a vet tech, I wanted to focus on the cute dog image.  So although my card has snow, it is NOT a Christmas card.  LOL!

Stamps: Trees for Sale, Penguin Place, Peekaboo Farm; Paper: Balmy Blue, Basic Black, Whisper White; Ink: Evening Evergreen, Soft Suede, Smoky Slate, Versamark; Accessories: White Embossing Powder, Blending Brush, Sponge, Tree Lot Dies, Die-Cutting Machine.

I thought the fir trees might be the perfect size to create a little scene with the house stamp from Ringed with Nature.

Stamps: Trees for Sale, Ringed with Nature; Paper: Real Red, Garden Green, Balmy Blue, Basic Black, Whisper White; Ink: Mint Macaron, Evening Evergreen, Balmy Blue, Soft Suede, Versamark; Accessories: White Embossing Powder, Brayer, Wintry 3D Embossing Folder, Tree Lot Dies, Stitched Shapes Dies, Die-Cutting Machine.

And in order to show all my Trees for Sale cards in one place, here's another card I recently created using this set.

Hop on over to Betty Traciak's blog to see what amazing creations she has put together with this week's set.

The Stamp Review Crew: Jul-Aug 2022 Sale-a-Bration

Stamp Review Crew Blog Hop: Inspiring you one stamp set at a time

Welcome to another Stamp Crew Review Blog Hop!  Today we have a special bonus hop focusing on the Jul-Aug Sale-a-Bration offerings.  This is a great opportunity to jump start your holiday crafting while also earning FREE product!  Only through August 31, make sure you check out all the free products by clicking the Sale-a-Bration icon at the bottom of this post.  If you are following the hop in order, you've arrived from the fantastic Lou Kitzelman's blog.

I love the Trees for Sale set in the Jul-Dec mini, and it's even better there's a coordinating die set, only available during Sale-a-Bration.  For this hop, I'm focusing on the SAB dies.

The little trailer image is exclusive to the dies, so don't miss them!

Stamps: Trees for Sale, Ringed with Nature; Paper: Real Red, Garden Green, Evening Evergreen, Balmy Blue, Smoky Slate, Basic Black, Whisper White; Ink: So Saffron, Smoky Slate, Memento Tuxedo Black, So Saffron Stampin' Blends; Accessories: Iridescent Rhinestone Jewels, Blending Brush, Tree Lot Dies, Layering Circles Dies, Die-Cutting Machine, Dimensionals.

ICYMI here's another card I recently created using the Trees for Sale bundle.

You must have heard me say that I love hippos.  My new Sale-a-Bration set Hippest Hippos just arrived, and I can't wait to dig in!  This week is so crazy with the family off visiting the in-laws, and I'm holding the farm "fort" down.  I hope I get a chance soon!  And I still need to pick up the coordinating dies for this set, also a Sale-a-Bration item.

Hop on over to Debra Burgin's blog to see what she put together with some Sale-a-Bration items. Her projects are always beautiful!

SSC288 Trees for Sale

Hello and welcome back!  Today we have another Sunday Stamps sketch challenge.  Did you notice the Trees for Sale set in the Jul-Dec Mini Catalog?  And even more exciting, the coordinating Tree Lot die set FREE during Sale-a-Bration with a $100 order?  I couldn't wait to play with my bundle, once it arrived.

I love creating a tree lot scene, evoking feelings of childhood... or thoughts of A Christmas Story.

This week's sketch is by Heather.

Stamps: Trees for Sale; Paper: Real Red, Garden Green, Night of Navy, Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Rings of Love DSP; Ink: Evening Evergreen, Soft Suede, So Saffron Stampin' Blends; Accessories: Tree Lot Dies, Rectangle Stitched Dies, Die-Cutting Machine.

The Stamp Review Crew: Ringed with Nature

Stamp Review Crew Blog Hop: Inspiring you one stamp set at a time

Welcome to another Stamp Crew Review Blog Hop!  We share our take on a selected stamp set every first and third Monday.  This week we are playing with a versatile stamp set Ringed with Nature, which I was thrilled to see coordinates with some FREE Sale-a-Bration paper.   If you are following the blog hop order, you have just come from the very lovely Debra Burgin's blog.  Aren't her projects always beautiful?

Combining the current Sunday Stamps challenge with this week's set, I came up with this card for our neighbor's "something-th" milestone birthday party,  It's a bit of a twisted card, with the inside sentiment reading, "You have so many rings, I've lost count."

Here is the Sunday Stamps color combination for this week.  I also used Global Design Project sketch #350.
Stamps: Ringed with Nature; Paper: Soft Sea Foam, Night of Navy, Basic Black, Whisper White, Rings of Love DSP, Splendid Day DSP; Ink: Crushed Curry, Soft Suede, Versamark; Accessories: White Embossing Powder, Tree Rings Dies, Rectangle Stitched Dies, Die-Cutting Machine.

Along the same vein, I tried the similar layout using the Tree Rings Hybrid Embossing Folder.  The hybrid embossing folder is a 2-step process, first dry embossing the cardstock with a folder and then cutting with metal dies.

Stamps: Ringed with Nature, Nature's Harvest; Paper: Gray Granite, Basic Gray, Basic Black, Very Vanilla, Sun Prints DSP; Ink: Gray Granite, Versamark, Mango Melody & Gray Granite Stampin' Blends; Accessories: Linen Thread, White Embossing Powder, Tree Rings Hybrid Embossing Folder, Harvest Dies, Die-Cutting Machine, Dimensionals.

Make sure you hop over to the always fabulous Jay Soriano to see what fun projects he has put together with this week's featured stamp.
