PCC437 Make It Happen

Hi All!  It's been a while since I've participated in a Paper Craft Crew challenge. This week is a fun sketch challenge.

I recently received the Annual Catalog set Make It Happen.  A big desk image, like a clean slate, is where all sorts of creative ideas can bloom.  I love it!  And of course, creating always involves a nice drink (coffee!).

PCC426 Pansy Patch

Hi All!  I'm finally getting a chance to play with the Paper Craft Crew again!  This week's sketch is a great opportunity to play with the new Pansy Patch bundle.

I used the stamps to try to duplicate some of the pansies in the DSP pack, with Blending Brush shading and Color Spritzer speckles.

The Stamp Review Crew: Itty Bitty Greetings

Welcome to another Stamp Crew Review Blog Hop!  We share our take on a selected stamp set every first and third Monday of the month.  Sentiment sets are a staple of the stamping tool chest, and today we are looking at one that includes a variety of greetings, Itty Bitty Greetings.  If you are following the hop in order, you have just arrived from the blog of the very talented Charlet Mallett.

This set has a variety of holiday sentiments (Valentine's, Easter, Christmas), occasion sentiments (wedding, baby, graduation), and several different ways to say thank you, happy birthday, and sympathies.  

Holidays: I made a couple cards focusing on upcoming holidays.  Here is combined Itty Bitty Greetings with the Messages die.

This card also follows this week's Paper Craft Crew color combination.

Stamps: Swallowtail, Itty Bitty Greetings; Paper: Bumblebee, Just Jade, Basic Black, Watercolor Paper, TH Distress White Heavystock, Flowers for Every Season DSP; Ink: Magenta Madness, Bumblebee, Versafine Onyx Black, Versamark; Accessories: Flowers for Every Season Gems, Watercolor Brush, Clear Embossing Powder, White Embossing Powder, Rectangle Stitched Dies, Messages Die, Die-Cutting Machine, Dimensionals.

The next card utilizes the Flowering Cactus Product Medley, which includes stamps, dies, DSP, and embellishments.  Just add some card stock and ink!  I love the dies cut out some DSP images for a quick card.  Layout design is inspired by Jan - Jun Mini Catalog sample.

Occasions: With the compact phrasing of the sentiments in this set, you can complement any card.  Case in point would be this sympathy card.

With consistent font-sizing, I thought about mixing and matching sayings, but ended up with this repetitive sentiment card.

PCC414 Strawberry Flowers

Hi All!  And welcome to another Paper Craft Crew challenge.  Time is running out on Sale-a-Bration, so I have been focused on the Berry Blessings bundle.  

Did you know you can punch some strawberry flowers out of the DSP with the Strawberry Builder Punch from the Jan - Jun Mini Catalog?  I thought it would be fun to start there for this card.

PCC413 Beautiful Journey

Hi All!  Happy "Another Snow Day" from New York.  I purchased Beautiful World for the lovely script but have yet to use it.  This week's Paper Craft Crew sketch seemed to fit the bill.

PCC410 Comfort & Hope Wreath

Hi All, and welcome to another Paper Craft Crew challenge.  Today's horizontal sketch reminded me of the Comfort & Hope set in the Annual Catalog.

After stamping and assembling all the card elements, I struggled to follow the sketch, so I did move things around a bit.  I even contemplated just throwing in the towel on this card.  But hey, the effort was there, so I figured I'd post it anyway.

PCC409 You Melt My Heart

Hi All!  Welcome to Paper Craft Crew's inspiration challenge, Romance!  I can't say I have a bunch of lovey-dovey sets, so we'll put together a "sweet" card with what we've got.

PCC406 Warm Hugs Pen Box

Hi All!  This week's Paper Craft Crew challenge is to post a project with your favorite holiday stamp set.  I was excited to recently receive the Warm Hugs set from the Holiday Catalog, which will be retiring on January 4.  

I started by creating pen box packaging for my downline gifts.    

I wanted a tapered box so you could see the In Color pens that coordinate with the box card stock and DSP colors.  

Here is a sketch of the measurements I used.

• Cut 3-1/2 x 4-1/2" card stock base, scoring at 1/2, 2, 2-1/2, 4".  Create a 1/2" tapered opening as shown.  
• Punch holes with paper piercer 1/2" apart to thread elastic cord on 1-1/2 x 3-1/2" piece of card stock to hold the pens.  Make sure to leave a little slack in the elastic cord for the pens.  Attach this piece inside the box with Dimensionals.  Decorate box as desired.

Of course you need a little notecard from the same stamp set.  This one was inspired by a card by Helen Chapman, using coordinating colors.

PCC404 Chinese Lanterns

Hi All!  Time for another Paper Craft Crew challenge.  For this challenge I grabbed a stamp set we received as part of the Stampin' Up OnStage swag box, Enjoy the Moment, which will be available starting January 5.

According to the online presentation, the stamp set represents different seed pods.  These images are gooseberry pods, although I colored them to look like dried chinese lanterns.  I created the background with retired SU sets, inspired by a card by Heather Telford.
