This set is perfect for clean & simple cards.
Using Clean&Simple Layout #299 and also playing along with Mix-Ability Challenge #79, Glued, I mixed reinker and Elmer's glue to stamp some of the snowflake images. This gives a fun, dimensional look.
My coloring media (two or more required) were Classic ink, Elmer's glue mixture, and Encore Silver ink. This card is also a sneak peek to this Friday's mashup challenge.
Stamps: Endless Wishes; Paper: Pear Pizzazz, Smoky Slate, Whisper White; Ink: Soft Sky, Pear Pizzazz reinker, Smoky Slate reinker, Encore Silver; Accessories: Silver baker's twine, Frosted Sequins, Clear EP, Elmer's glue, Dimensionals.
Another Mix-Ability challenge, Rice, Rice, Baby!, calls for watercoloring and sprinkling the background with rice. Then set aside to dry completely. This makes for a very interesting background.
The first time around, I didn't have enough background color, so I had to try again with some watercolor paint. Same paper; there's no wasting in watercoloring.
I chose my sentiment so it wasn't specifically a holiday card. I could use it in January as well. :) I imagine this was the view out Buffalo's front window recently.
Stamps: Endless Wishes; Paper: Smoky Slate, All is Calm DSP, Silver Foil sheet, Watercolor paper; Ink: Soft Sky, Marina Mist, Pacific Point, Basic Gray; Accessories: Koi Watercolor Paint, Watercolor brush, Rice.
