Stampin' Addicts Winter Holiday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Stampin' Addicts Winter Holiday Blog Hop! Grab a drink and hop along to a selection of fabulous winter projects from the holiday seasonal catalog, which is available until January 2.

If you have been following the blog hop in order, you have just come from Paula's blog featuring the stamp set Gift Bow Bigz die. Didn't she do an amazing job?  As for my stamp choice, I picked the tag set called Tags 4 You.  A very versatile set, with a coordinating punch, which covers Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Valentine's Day.

This stamp set is perfect to add sentiments to any type of project, but of course I have to start with a card.  It is particularly suitable for clean & simple cards.

With 12 weeks until Christmas, this card also officially kicks off the Countdown to Christmas, where I will post another Christmas idea on my blog every week.  This card uses CAS(E) this Sketch #23 and the Modern Mosaic set for the ornaments.

Stamps: Tags 4 You, Modern Mosaic; Paper: Old Olive, Whisper White, Season of Style DSP; Ink: Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler; Accessories: Linen thread, Rhinestone jewels, 1-3/4" Circle punch, Mosaic punch, Label Bracket punch, Modern Mosaic EF, Big Shot, Dimensionals.

Here are some treat ideas for the upcoming holidays.  We created the Halloween project at September Stamp Club.  I used the Pumpkin Pie and Real Red Goodie Gear kits, mixed it up a little with other supplies, to give you more kit idea options.  Not too early to think about the supplies you'll need to grab for the kiddos' Valentine's treats.

Notice the little black pearls, colored with a Sharpie, for the spider bodies.  Everything looks better with pearls, even spiders.

The Thanksgiving after-dinner mint package uses the smallest Envelope Liner framelit.  I'll post a small pictorial tutorial on Tuesday.

Stamps: Tags 4 You, Truly Grateful; Paper: Pumpkin Pie, Cherry Cobbler, Gumball Green, Old Olive, Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla, Whisper White, Sweater Weather DSP, Season of Style DSP; Ink: Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie, Real Red, Cherry Cobbler, Gumball Green, Chocolate Chip, Black Stazon, Black Sharpie marker; Accessories: Pearl jewels, Cherry Cobbler baker's twine, White baker's twine, Linen thread, Basic Black Chevron ribbon, Cherry Cobbler Chevron ribbon, Old Olive taffeta ribbon, Gumball Green ribbon, Small Heart punch, Label Bracket punch, Dotted Scallop Ribbon border punch, Pumpkin Pie Goodie Gear kit, Real Red Goodie Gear kit, Sponges, Dimensionals.

For my last project, I wanted to make something less traditional, a pumpkin-shaped card.  In My Digital Studio, I exported the jack o'lantern image from the Calendar Kit as a jpeg file.

Inputting this into my e-cutter, I was able to trace the jpeg image.  I will have more on the process on Thursday.  I used papers and accessories from the Thankful Tablescape kit to decorate the card.

Stamps: Tags 4 You; Paper: Pumpkin Pie, Tangerine Tango, Old Olive, Basic Black, Very Vanilla; Ink: Pumpkin Pie, Tangerine Tango, Old Olive, Black Stazon; Accessories: Thankful Tablescape Simply Created Kit, Sponges, Dimensionals; MDS Elements: Calendar Kit - Pumpkin.
