The Stamp Review Crew: Mountain Air
Welcome to another Stamp Crew Review Blog Hop! We share our take on a selected stamp set every first and third Monday of the month. This week's hop focuses on another Jan-Jun Mini Catalog set, Mountain Air, which has a coordinating die set and is carrying over to the upcoming Annual Catalog. This set is perfect for quickly filling a background with beautiful imagery.
A group of friends have been "playing" together on a Virtual Card Making Fun Facebook group, and there I combined two challenges, sketch & color along with a stamp set that hadn't seen ink. Yep, this was the first time I inked up this set.
Lots of masking and sponging on this card. Here is the sketch we used; can you see it on my card?
Stamps: Mountain Air, Sending You Thoughts (SAB); Paper: Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White, Vellum, Sycamore Street DSP; Ink: Crushed Curry, Pool Party, Rich Razzleberry, Versamark; Accessories: Glitter & Clear Epoxy Shapes, White Embossing Powder, Sponges, Majestic Mountain Dies, Die-Cutting Machine, Dimensionals.
Last-Chance Countdown: This set combines well with others to create a quick backdrop. I combined Mountain Air with retiring set Let It Ride. The sentiment is also from retiring set Label Me Bold.
Although I don't have mountains in my backyard in Upstate New York, I do have a couple chestnuts. Here they are, in the freaky on-and-off snow from May 9.
Stamps: Mountain Air, Let It Ride, Label Me Bold; Paper: Cajun Craze, Mossy Meadow, Very Vanilla; Ink: Garden Green, Mossy Meadow, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Memento Tuxedo Black, Stampin' Blends; Accessories: Come to Gather Ribbon Combo Pack, Majestic Moutain Dies, Die-Cutting Machine, Dimensionals.
ICYMI, I also used Mountain Air with retiring sets Pedal to the Metal and Enjoy Life for this week's Sunday Stamps card.
There's just a couple of us on this week's hop; make sure to check out Jay Soriano's blog to see what amazing creations he has put together with this week's set.
