Last-Chance Countdown: Pedal to the Metal

Time for another Sunday Stamps color challenge; this week is poppy-themed.  National Poppy Day, the Friday before Memorial Day, is designated to honor the fallen and support the living who have worn our nation's uniform.  Since I recently participated in a Painted Poppies blog hop, I decided on another direction with my card.

Focusing on some retiring product, I started with Pedal to the Metal and Pressed Petals DSP, attempting a masculine card with a feminine paper pack.

Since we purchased our farm, we've needed a farm truck.  My inspiration is the one Hubs purchased from a neighbor, now named Jane.

As I was building this card using masking, I didn't feel the truck was popping out enough.  So I used One Layer Paper Tole to create a little more dimension.

Here's this week's color combination.  I've also used another retiring set, Enjoy Life, and Freshly Made Sketches #434.

Stamps: Petal to the Metal, Mountain Air, Enjoy Life, Rise & Shine; Paper: Mossy Meadow, Rich Razzleberry, Very Vanilla, Pressed Petals DSP; Ink: Merry Merlot, Real Red, Rococo Rose, Crushed Curry, Mossy Meadow, Gray Granite, Smoky Slate, Basic Black; Accessories: Magnolia Lane Ribbon Pack, Aquapainter, Nested Labels Dies, Die-Cutting Machine.

Very nice use of the colors without it being floral! Resembles Jane perfectly; )
