Snow Globe Sweet Cups

Today's the day!  Stampin' Up demonstrators from the northeast are gathering in Hartford, CT for the semi-annual convention.  Can't wait!!

Four of us are traveling together, and it is a tradition to bring roomie gifts.  I created these little snow globe sweet cups filled with treats.

Here's an outline of how I put these together:

  • Cut two of each die-cut from Snow Globe Scenes dies and glue together (top 3/4 of die-cut).  Fold the bottom flat to create a little stand-up tab.  For the church, I used to circle punches to create a stand-up tab.
  • Slots were hand-cut into die-cut white foam circles so the 3-D items could be slipped through and tab glued at the bottom.  Don't actually glue them until after the next step.
  • I added Mod Podge and Buffalo Snow to the white foam die-cuts.
  • The clear ornament halves where a little too short, so I had to raise them up on stacked white foam die-cut rings.
  • All pieces were assembled with a glue gun.  Luckily the clear globes and Buffalo Snow help obscure glue gun sloppiness.
  • I used a template from the internet to cut out the Sweet Cup wrap with my e-cutter.

These are the little treats I put together for swapping or just handing out to friends (chocolate, of course!).

I just found these adorable sweet cups and would love to make some for the memory care facility here in my little town (always trying to work ahead). I was wondering if you could share the file you used with your e-cutter? I found the template on line but for some reason it isn't cutting at the correct size when I tried to cut it out. Thanks in advance. It really is a beautiful scene.

thanks
Debbie
