I love me some cattails. In fact, I attempted to preserve some cattails this summer. Even though I had sealed them, they started exploding while we were away. I hear they made quite a mess in the house, and my son blamed the cat. Awwww!

I signed up for this set at our upcoming downline meeting. Since it is shoebox format at a local restaurant, coloring images can be time consuming. Rather, I thought I would focus on the Faux Patina technique.

Now that your cattails are releasing their fluff, you can use it for stuffing a pillow! I did that one year, and it worked pretty well.
And your card is none the worse for wear after its visit to the sink ;) I love the aqua tin tile background with the metallic sheen!
Both cards are beautiful. The chicken wire and the tin tile background go so perfectly together. But the second card with the antiqued tin tile is breathtaking!

Sorry, I just had to laugh about the exploding cattails. I only learned about that recently. Your cards are amazing. Love the colors and coloring on the first one, and that faux patina totally looks like aged copper! Beautifully done on both!!! ❤️
Beautiful cards Heidi! Perfect for your country lifestyle. I had to laugh that the cat was to blame for the cattail mishap. They do keep life interesting!
Beautiful cards and I love cattails too! I got a good laugh at the cat mine is always getting himself into trouble.
