The Stamp Review Crew: Rose Wonder

Welcome to another Stamp Crew Review Blog Hop!  We share our take on a selected stamp set every first and third Monday.  Today we stamp with another set from the main catalog, Rose Wonder and coordinating Rose Garden thinlits.  If you are following the hop in order, you have just arrived from Kelly Kent's blog.

I've been meaning to put together a card focusing on the leaf image and die-cut for a more masculine feel.

Watercoloring the background with Mint Macaron ink resulted in some separation of blue & yellow color - that's kinda fun!  I love getting a variation of color with just one ink pad.  After also dipping my die-cut leaves in watered down Mint Macaron and Tip Top Taupe ink, I added a bit of Emerald Envy for a little more pop.

Tip: Mint Macaron & Tip Top Taupe are part of the 2016-2017 In Colors that will be retiring in May.  Don't forget to stock up early!

Stamps: Rose Wonder; Paper: Tip Top Taupe, Watercolor Paper; Ink: Mint Macaron, Tip Top Taupe, Versamark; Accessories: Clear Embossing Powder, Watercolor Brush, Rose Garden Thinlits, Big Shot.

And I got a chance to play with the new Sale-a-Bration Glimmer Paper Assortment offering.

In this case Mint Macaron and Sweet Sugarplum glimmer paper.  Aren't they pretty?

I added some watercolor paper behind the die-cut for a subtle look and mounted on a simple background so the glimmer flower can shine.  A custom envelope was created with the Envelope Punch Board using retired patterned paper.  This card uses CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge #212.

Stamps: Rose Wonder; Paper: Basic Black, Very Vanilla, Watercolor Paper, SAB Glimmer Paper Assortment Pack; Ink: Mint Macaron, Emerald Envy, Sweet Sugarplum, Memento Tuxedo Black; Accessories: Watercolor Brush, Rose Garden Thinlits, Big Shot.

Hop on over to Sue Plote's blog to see what fun projects she has put together with this week's set.

Your watercolored background with the leaf image and dies is wonderful! It does indeed make a great masculine card. The way you have used the new Glitter Paper dies with the watercolored background is stunning! I'm inspired!!
