The Stamp Review Crew: Lift Me Up

Welcome to another Stamp Crew Review Blog Hop!  We share our take on a selected stamp set every first and third Monday.  This time we are stamping with a set I've already gotten a ton of use out of, Lift Me Up, which also coordinates with the Up & Away thinlits.  If you are following the blog hop order, you have just come from the amazing Valerie Moody's blog.  Her projects are always awesome!

I was playing with a few old Virtual Stamp Night challenges on Splitcoaststampers over the holidays.  One challenge asked for a quick one-layer card (HCE06).  Well, other than I can't resist mounting it on a thicker card base, here's how the challenge ended up.

Using some masking, the card has some depth to it without worrying too much about seeing the background through the larger balloon.

Stamps: Lift Me Up; Paper: Mint Macaron, Whisper White; Ink: Mint Macaron, Night of Navy, Watermelon Wonder; Accessories: White Baker's Twine, Post-It Notes, Sponge.

In Stamp Club last month, I wanted to incorporate a Double Z Fold card in some way.   Lift Me Up is a good candidate set for this fold, as the fold gives some depth to the stamped images.

I altered the measurements a bit so the actual depth of the card wouldn't be too large.  The card base is 4-1/4 x 9-5/8", scored at 2-5/8 & 4-5/8".  The bottom strip is 1-1/2 x 9-5/8", scored at 4-3/4 & 6-3/4".  The Sale-a-Bration paper with the map image is the perfect backdrop.

Here's the card closed and opened.

Stamps: Lift Me Up; Paper: Mint Macaron, Old Olive, Whisper White, Carried Away DSP, Succulent Garden DSP, Silver Glimmer Paper; Ink: Peekaboo Peach, Watermelon Wonder, Night of Navy, Memento Tuxedo Black; Accessories: Rhinestone Jewels, White Baker's Twine, Up & Away Thinlits, Big Shot, Dimensionals.

Up next is the very talented artisan Tanya Boser.  Let's check out what fun projects she has put together with this week.
