Welcome... It's time to hop along with the over-the-top fabulous Control Freaks! This month some of us will share the projects we swapped together at Convention. You've probably arrived here from Dawn Olchefske's blog. Her projects are always so creative!
When I saw the new stamp set Wild About Flowers, I had goldenrod flowers in mind. When we arrive to our family cabin in Canada every year, there are many flowering weeds around, including goldenrod. I {heart} wild flowers!
Ah, white space! I just couldn't get away from the pleasing feeling of a clean-and-simple card. I also used this card for July stamp club. Multitasking is key these days!
Stamps: Wild About Flowers, Papillion Potpourri, And Many More; Paper: Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White; Ink: Delightful Dijon, Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry, Basic Black, Black Stazon; Accessories: Dazzling Diamonds, Bitty Butterfly punch, Aquapainter, Dimensionals.
I am in love with the new color combination of Watermelon Wonder and Cucumber Crush! Such fun summery colors! I was determined to combine them with the new stamp set Sprinkles on Top. Mmmmm, donuts!
Using Retro Sketches #49, I layered the donut toppings on Crumb Cake card stock. I could have used a 1/4" punch for the center, but I don't currently have one (on my next order!). I ended up cutting circles with my e-cutter and then stamping afterwards with a Stamp-a-ma-jig.
Stamps: Sprinkles on Top; Paper: Watermelon Wonder, Cucumber Crush, Very Vanilla, Whisper White, Cherry on Top DSP; Ink: Blushing Bride, Watermelon Wonder, Tip Top Taupe, Chocolate Chip; Accessories: White baker's twine, Triple Banner punch, 3/4" Circle punch Happy Heart EF, Big Shot, e-cutter.
