Today's MDS Monday challenge is a card sketch by Rochelle. An extra challenge is to use an embellishment you don't normally use or haven't used.
Still working on my Taiwan pages, and I'm having trouble finding just one photo for the card sketches. You can imagine there are many, many more photos that need to be scrapped before Christmas.
I only have one good photo of dinner that night, and it was a dark photo. I lightened it up with a photo-editing program, but the menu holders in the foreground were really messing with the photo.
In order to avoid some extensive photo-editing, I had to get creative. I split the photo up into two by using some layered photo frames (Day in the Life, Downtown Grunge). To help draw the eye up, I added some photo corners. What do you think?
As far as my infrequently used embellishment, that would be Delicate Adornments lace and flower. Here's this week's sketch.
MDS Elements: Stamps: Presto Patterns Overlays - floral frame, Day in the
Life - 3 frame, Paper: Basic Black textured, Tea for Two DSP; Accessories: Delicate Adornments lace, Delicate Adornments flower, Vintage Faceted button, Mis-Stitched, Downtown Grunge frame 4, Photo Corner punch; Font: You Won't Bring Me Down.
This month's online hostess code is BFSTGCT9, available through October 10. Thanks for stopping by!

I love how you've split the photo, Heidi.....and "cleaned up the table" in doing so. Clever! I love the little bit of lace you've added to the paper grouping too.
Heidi - genius photo manipulation! Love your creative 'fixes'. Great page. The colours are just so lovely.
