MDSM6 Lemonade Stand Meets Arikok National Park

Hello Everyone!  Today is another MDS Monday challenge, and this week Joan is giving us a sketch.  I love the hex trend right now, so I'm on it!

The sketch reminds me of the new MDS digital content CD available during Sale-a-bration, Lemonade Stand.  Love the colors and patterns in this one, and today's challenge was the best excuse to put it to good use.  You too can get in on this digital content with a $50 Stampin' Up order.

I'm continuing on with getting my Aruba pages completed, and this time I was able to manage a two-page spread.

I did some tweaking of one Lemonade Stand template, and it doesn't take too terribly long when you start with a finished product.  I kept the pages on the simpler side to focus on the photos, although I added the strips and flower.  No embellishments at all seemed like a crime.  I definitely recommend templates for getting a bunch of pages done in short order.

MDS Elements: Stamps: Lemonade Stand hexagon journaling; Papers: Lemonade Stand DSP; Color Palette: Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry, Crumb Cake, Whisper White; Accessories: Lemonade Stand pearl, flower, stitching, Hexagon punch; Font: Bradley Hand ITC.

If you've been sitting on the sidelines with your MDS program, I encourage you to get your feet wet and join us!  Practice makes perfect, you know, as well as gets some pages done!  :)

Thanks for stopping by!

Love these pages! So bright and fun. I just adore the Lemonade Stand content disc... I actually have to force myself NOT to use it all the time! haha

Great spread! I love the flow of the hexagons over the two pages - and your added embellishments. My Lemonade Stand disc is in the mail...woooHoooo!

Very nice! I love that digi kit you used. I may have to spend an extra $50 to get it. (LOL! Like I wouldn't anyways!)
