Hi Everyone, It's three weeks until Easter, and I wanted to share with you my take on this month's template from February's Paper Crafters Sampler, Egg Niche.
So fun to create this little egg shell, with which you can go wild decorating inside.
I created a 3-D Easter lily with the Island Floral die, added Chocolate Bunny, and then filled in the bottom space with Old Olive card stock shredding.
Here you can see I opted to glue the tabs on the outside of the egg's backside in order to be able to stamp the grass image inside the egg.
Stamps: Chocolate Bunny, Inspired by Nature; Paper: Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla; Ink: Old Olive, Chocolate Chip, Crumb Cake marker, Basic Gray marker; Accessories: Daffodil Delight seam binding, Color Spritzer Tool, Crimper, Island Floral die, Big Shot, Floral wire, Floral tape, Floral foam.

3-D Thursday: Pucker Up Box
Hi Everyone! I finally got a moment to play with this month's template from Paper Crafters Sampler, called Pucker Up. Well, what would be more perfect in a lip-shaped box than lip balm?
I wanted to work on a scale a little more in line with the size of the lip balm, so I printed the template at 50%. This gave me an excuse to pull out all the little embellishment from the Spring and Sale-a-bration catalogs, like the Petite Curly Label punch, Itty Bitties stamp set, and Soda Pop Tops.
And here is the inside.
Stamps: Pretty Petites, Itty Bitties, You're Amazing; Paper: Riding Hood Red, Pool Party, Primrose Petals, Very Vanilla, More Amore DSP; Ink: Riding Hood Red, Pool Party, Chocolate Chip; Accessories: Rhinestone Jewels, Pool Party ribbon, Soda Pop Tops, Crystal Effects, 1/2" Circle punch, Itty Bitty punch pack, Petite Curly Label punch, Ticket Duo builder punch, Heart-to-Heart punch, Bitty Banner framelits, Big Shot, Sticky Strip, Dimensionals.
And did you also get a chance to see the love seat Melanie made with the template? OMG, love!!! Downton Abbey, anyone?
Thanks for stopping by!

3-D Thursday: Valentine Keepsake Box
This month's issue of Paper Crafters Sampler
has a precious template called the Winter Keepsake Box. Among other things I was thinking of how to turn it into a pie box. But what is a typical January pie? Ok, scratch that idea. How about a chance to play with new Spring Catalog goodies?
What fun to slather this little guy full of decorations! There is some really fun accessories coming out in the Spring Catalog!!
I took a couple pics while I was putting this box together. Valentine's projects always includes chocolates in my book, so you could easily stuff some in this little cutie.
Doesn't it look like a heart when it is assembled?
Stamps: That's the Ticket, Hearts A Flutter; Paper: Primrose Petals, Raspberry Ripple, Pool Party, Very Vanilla, More Amore DSP; Ink: Primrose Petals, Real Red, Pool Party; Accessories: White Tea Lace paper doily, Real Red taffeta ribbon, Victoria lace, Linen Thread, Brad, Vintage Faceted button, Rhinestone jewels, Trinket Heart charm, Scallop Circle punch, Itty Bitty punch pack, Ticket Punch Duo, 1/16" Handheld punch, Hearts A Flutter framelits, Big Shot, Dimensionals.

Countdown to Christmas: Buche de Noel
Well, the race is on now! The turkey is gone, we've done a bunch of shopping (shopping, shopping, shopping), and now we have to decorate. 4 more weeks to go...
This month's template at Paper Crafters Sampler can help out for either gift giving or decor. When I saw Melanie's sample, I immediately thought of Buche de Noel, the Christmas yule log cake I learned about in French class. I've even made a couple, which are yummy and deadly! Mmmmm, I want cake now! LOL!
I followed Mel's instructions to make this one. The top grain layer can be removed to open the box at the top and reveal a bunch of yummy goodies inside. But I chose to glue mine shut to use as decor.
Here's a look at the side, decorated to really look like a cut log.
And I thought it would be fun to make holly out of rolled flowers.
I was torn on how to decorate the log. I have more ideas, so I'll have to come back and share again later.
Make sure you check out November's issue of Paper Crafters Sampler to get the template and see all the wonderful ideas the ladies came up with this month!
Paper: Cherry Cobbler, Always Artichoke, Early Espresso, Early Espresso Core'dinations, Very Vanilla; Ink: Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso, Chocolate Chip; Accessories: Rhinestone jewels, Cherry Cobbler tulle ribbon, 3/4" Circle punch, Sponges, Woodgrain EF, Stocking Accents die, Big Shot.

Countdown to Christmas: Gingerbread House
This month's issue of Paper Crafters Sampler has a cute template called Ghoulish Hangout. I grabbed this template to create my version, a gingerbread house. Why would you want a boring, straight-walled house when you can have a cute trapezoid house? Well I don't know! It is the perfect size to embellish with the images from the set Scentsational Season.
Once I started, boy did this get my daughter's imagination running! She started making her own little wrapped gifts out of paper and gingerbread girl for the inside of the house.
I was suffering through some math which was painful at the end of a long day, so I was pretty proud of how my chimney came out! The gingerbread man is dressed up with baker's twine (I'm told by Little Missy it's a bow tie) and Dazzling Details buttons.
A good dollop of chunky glitter on the roof, trees, and along the bottom edge of the house for a real winter feeling.
To get your copy of this month's issue, including the Ghoulish Hangout template, please visit Paper Crafters Sampler. You can also see sneak peeks of all the fabulous projects in this issue.
Stamps: Scentsational Season, Sweets for the Sweet; Paper: Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso, Whisper White, Snow Festival DSP, Vellum; Ink: Gumball Green, Cherry Cobbler, Soft Suede; Accessories: Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details, Silver mini brads, Cherry Cobbler baker's twine, Chunky glitter, Scallop edge punch, Scallop Trim border punch, Itty Bitty punch pack, Holiday Collection framelit, Peekaboo Frames die, Big Shot, Dimensionals.
9 more weeks until Christmas... thanks for stopping by!

PCS Acorn Pocket Blog Hop
Welcome to the Paper Crafters Sampler Acorn Pocket Blog Hop. Autumn Amidst is the title for September's Paper Crafters Sampler, and the exclusive template for this acorn pocket is included in the issue. You may have arrived here from Karen's blog. Don't you love her take on the template?
I ended up using the template to create a decor item, a hanging acorn.
I reduced the size of the template to 75% to make a bit smaller acorn and used traditional colors and oak leaves to embellish. The cap of the acorn is glued to the base to allow for hanging and display.
I can't wait for a moment to create some more... I was going to try even smaller acorns for the rest of my branches.
Paper: Crushed Curry, More Mustard, Soft Suede, Early Espresso; Ink: More Mustard, Soft Suede; Accessories: Wood button, Linen Thread, Sponge, Square Lattice EF, Woodgrain EF, Autumn Accents die, Big Shot.
Make sure you visit all the design team members' blogs for fabulous ideas! Next up along the hop is our newest member, Wendy Fischer. She has fabulous creativity! If you get lost, head over to Paper Crafters Sampler's website for the hop participants' links (left-hand margin).

3-D Thursday: A to Zebra Celebration
Every month I try to play along with the Stampin' Celebration Inspiration Challenge. This month's theme is totally not me. I'm definitely not pink and animal prints... but that's why it is a challenge, right?
My eye was drawn to that dress. I decided to pull out my Paper Crafters Sampler template for the Glamour Girl Dress box. This favor box a great idea for a bridal, prom, Mother's Day, tea or garden party, or other girlie gathering that you need some table favors.
But how did I get the zebra print? I saved a jpeg file off the internet, loaded it up in My Digital Studio, sized it to a card front, then printed. I just couldn't commit to hand-creating the print like the fabulous design team did; that was just too much for me.
I think I'll put some chocolates in the box and send it to my sister for her birthday. The Glamour Girl Dress box template is part of the discounted past issues available in the Paper Crafters Sampler Library, May 2010 issue.
I showed this box to my daughter, and her mouth dropped open, and she said, "Do you have paper like that??" I guess this style totally is her. :)
Paper: Melon Mambo, Basic Black, Whisper White; Accessories: Melon Mambo grosgrain ribbon, Scallop Circle punch, Adorning Accents edgelits, Big Shot, My Digital Studio.

PCS June issue: Penned Post
The June issue of Paper Crafters Sampler is up and running.
Penned Post was generated to take a break from the fast-paced world of email to remember the joy of sending a hand-written letter. Elegant cards and beaucoup stationery fill the pages of this Sampler.
Here is a glimpse of my project,
and all the wonderful projects.
The template of the month is Nib and Well Writers Box and fashions an "Old World" charm. While the Nib and Well Writers Box is designed to hold bottled ink, nibs and pens for calligraphers, it can be use for letter-writing purposes. You'll find the Writers Box and others stationary sets in this issue a GREAT idea for Father's Day gifts.
