The Stamp Review Crew: Layers of Beauty

Stamp Review Crew Blog Hop: Inspiring you one stamp set at a time

Welcome to another Stamp Crew Review Blog Hop!  We share our take on a selected stamp set every first and third Monday of the month.  This week, we are focusing on the 'beautiful' Layers of Beauty bundle, which includes stamps, dies, and coordinating masks.  If you are following the hop in order, you have just arrived from the blog of the very talented Ellen Woodbridge.

Using a TGIF Challenges graphic as inspiration, I created this stenciled and die-cut card.  I didn't have the dies for this set until recently, and oh how much easier they make life!  I decided to skip using the outline stamp image to give the blossoms a softer look.

Here's the color combination used for this card.

Stamps: Wonderful Thoughts; Paper: Basic Gray, Basic Black, Whisper White, Country Woods DSP, Watercolor Paper; Ink: Bubble Bath, Pretty in Pink, Flirty Flamingo, Shaded Spruce, Pretty Peacock, Versamark; Accessories: Earth Tones Shimmer Gems, White Baker's Twine, White Embossing Powder, Layers of Beauty Masks, Blending Brushes, Layers of Beauty Dies, Wonderful Thoughts Dies, Die-Cutting Machine, Dimensionals.

I can't tell you how much I enjoy coloring with the masks in this set!  I've used this bundle quite a bit.  So ICYMI, here are some past samples with Layers of Beauty.
Hop on over to Cindy Elam's blog to see what amazing creations she has put together with this week's set.

OMG, I love the softness that just the masks alone brings to the cards. What a great way to make a no line card. Lovely!
