The Stamp Review Crew: Rainbow of Happiness

Stamp Review Crew Blog Hop: Inspiring you one stamp set at a time

Welcome to another Stamp Crew Review Blog Hop!  We share our take on a selected stamp set every first and third Monday.  This week we are playing with the fun and happy stamp set Rainbow of Happiness.   How can you be grumpy when you see a rainbow?  If you are following the blog hop order, you have just come from the very lovely Mary Haugen's blog.  Aren't her projects always beautiful?

Taste the Rainbow: I wanted to put a project together with some colorful Skittles.  After a few idea iterations, I thought I'd put the large rainbow die to use.  In order to wrangle the candy colors into rays, I built top and bottom "frames" by gluing stacks of rainbow die-cuts together.  It's all held together by stacked Dimensionals.

Stamps: Rainbow of Happiness; Paper: Cherry Cobbler, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Basic Black, Whisper White, You're a Peach DSP, Window Sheets; Ink: Balmy Blue, Versamark; Accessories: White Baker's Twine, White Embossing Powder, Blending Brush, Brilliant Rainbow Dies, Die-Cutting Machine, Dimensionals.

That '70s Show: And I thought a retro card would be fun,

inspired by another classic camper van (I've been looking at a lot of vans recently).

This card uses this week's Sunday Stamps sketch by Melissa.

Stamps: Rainbow of Happiness; Paper: Pumpkin Pie, Bumblebee, Cinnamon Cider, Soft Suede, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla, Whisper White; Ink: Bumblebee, Versamark; Accessories: Champagne Rhinestones, White Embossing Powder, Brayer, Brilliant Rainbow Dies, Stitched Shapes Dies, Die-Cutting Machine.

ICYMI, I've made a couple previous cards using the Rainbow of Happiness set.

Make sure you hop over to the always fabulous Charlet Mallett to see what fun projects she has put together with this week's featured stamp.

Haha -- the Skittles idea is genius! (I know a kid who would rip into that card in a second.) But the retro, camper-inspired card is right up my alley.
