The Stamp Review Crew: Sale-a-Bration 2021

Stamp Review Crew Blog Hop: Inspiring you one stamp set at a time

Welcome to another Stamp Crew Review Blog Hop!  Today we have a special bonus hop focusing on this year's Sale-a-Bration offerings.  This is a great time of the year to stay indoors and get some crafting done while also earning FREE product!  Only through February 28, make sure you check out all the free products by clicking the Sale-a-Bration icon at the bottom of this post.  If you are following the hop in order, you've arrived from the fantastic Cindy Elam's blog.

Kick up yer heels - it's Sale-a-Bration time!  Today I'm using the cute donkey SAB set, Darling Donkeys, using Paper Craft Crew's sketch #405.

After light watercoloring, it was fun to use masking and the old "snot sucker" Color Spritzer tool to create a flea-bitten gray donkey.

The iNaturalist Seek animal/plant identifier app claims my horse Freckles is a donkey.  I'm not sure he really appreciates it.  I immediately thought of him when I saw this set.

Stamps: Darling Donkeys, Bootiful Occasions; Paper: Bumblebee, Crumb Cake, Cinnamon Cider, Very Vanilla, Whisper White, Flowers for Every Season DSP; Ink: Balmy Blue, Seaside Spray, Smoky Slate, Memento Tuxedo Black, Basic Black Marker; Accessories: Rhinestone Jewels, Aquapainter, Color Spritzer, Fringe Scissors, Brayer, 1-3/8" Circle Punch, Messages Die, Rainbow Builder Dies, Stitched Shapes Dies, Die-Cutting Machine, e-cutter, Dimensionals.

Speaking of Freckles, and you'll see why the Darling Donkeys set reminds me of him, this is how he greeted his pasture-mate after being apart for a few years.  Little stinker!

I used this photo, along with this week's sketch over at Sunday Stamps, for my inspiration.  I also used an SVG file off the internet to cut the fence with an e-cutter.

Here is this week's Sunday Stamps sketch, created by Stef.

Stamps: Darling Donkeys, Rooted in Nature; Paper: Seaside Spray, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla, Hydrangea Hill DSP; Ink: Old Olive, Garden Green, Seaside Spray, Early Espresso, Smokey Slate, Basic Black; Accessories: Flowers for Every Season Gems, Aquapainter, Color Spritzer, Blending Brush, Brayer, Nature's Roots Dies, Bitty Banners Dies, Layering Squares Dies, Rectangle Stitched Dies, Die-Cutting Machine, e-cutter, Dimensionals.

Finally, I was lax on Christmas cards, so I thought I would try my hand at some (passive-aggressive) New Year's cards.

Stamps: Darling Donkeys, Teeny Tiny Wishes; Paper: Bumblebee, Just Jade, Smoky Slate, Whisper White, Flowers for Every Season DSP; Ink: Smoky Slate, Basic Black; Accessories: Aquapainter, Fringe Scissors, Bitty Banners Dies, Sizzix Go Go Boots Dies, Die-Cutting Machine, e-cutter.

Hop on over to Betty Traciak's blog to see what she put together with some Sale-a-Bration items. Her projects are always beautiful!
