The Stamp Review Crew: Timeless Tropical

Stamp Review Crew Blog Hop: Inspiring you one stamp set at a time

Welcome to another Stamp Crew Review Blog Hop!  We share our take on a selected stamp set every first and third Monday.  To celebrate another returning favorite from the Jan - Jun 2020 Mini Catalog, we are playing with the Timeless Tropical stamp set. This set coordinates with the In the Tropics die set.  If you are following the blog hop order, you have just come from the very talented Mike Funke's blog.

I'm always immediately drawn to the flowers in a particular stamp set, so I challenged myself to make a card with the other images.

I wanted a variation of color on the setting sun, so I brayered Mango Melody card stock with Pumpkin Pie ink.  In order to reduce the brightness of the Very Vanilla card stock, I brayered the paper with Soft Sea Foam ink before stamping.  This card uses CAS(E) this Sketch #376.

Stamps: Timeless Tropical; Paper: Mango Melody, Night of Navy, Very Vanilla, Forever Greenery DSP; Ink: Pumpkin Pie, Soft Sea Foam, Old Olive, Night of Navy, Soft Suede; Accessories: Flowers for Every Season Gems, Rubber Brayer, Circles Collection Dies, Die-Cutting Machine, e-cutter.

Previously, I created a card using Timeless Tropical and watercoloring technique demonstrated by Beth Rush.

Stamps: Timeless Tropical, Lots of Happy; Paper: Granny Apple Green, Old Olive, Pretty Peacock, Very Vanilla, Whisper White, Watercolor Paper; Ink: So Saffron, Mango Melody, Crushed Curry, Pretty Peacock, Old Olive, Coastal Cabana, Whisper White Craft, So Saffron Blends; Accessories: Braided Burlap Trim, Aquapainter, Watercolor Brush, Tailored Tag Punch, Tropical Dies, Rectangle Stitched Dies, Die-Cutting Machine, Dimensionals.

Make sure you hop over to the always fabulous Nikki Spencer to see what fun projects she has put together with this week's set.

Beautiful cards both. The color combination to create the sun is perfect. You work very well out of your comfort zone!
