The Stamp Review Crew: Stacked Stone

Stamp Review Crew Blog Hop: Inspiring you one stamp set at a time

Welcome to another Stamp Crew Review Blog Hop!  We share our take on a selected stamp set every first and third Monday of the month.  This week we are playing with the fun new background stamp, Stacked Stone. If you are following the hop in order, you have just arrived from the blog of the very talented Mary Haugen.

For this week's Paper Craft Crew, I combined Hippo Happiness with Stacked Stone for a graduation card.

I incorporated the school colors, as well as adding the stone background and some laurel embellishment for an Ivy League look.

Stamps: Hippo Happiness, Stacked Stone BG; Paper: Merry Merlot, Bumblebee, Pear Pizzazz, Basic Gray, Whisper White; Ink: Merry Merlot, Petal Pink, Bumblebee, Pear Pizzazz, Balmy Blue, Memento Tuxedo Black, Whisper White Craft; Accessories: Rhinestone Jewels, Clear Embossing Powder, Water Painters, Sponges, Stitched Shapes Dies, Ovals Collection Dies, Forever Flourishing Dies, Die-Cutting Machine, e-cutter, Dimensionals.

Speaking of ivy, I applied the sketch from Global Design Project #246 to create some climbing ivy on a stone wall.

I love the subtle water drop look of the Flowers for Every Season gems.

Stamps: Forever Fern, Stacked Stone BG; Paper: Pear Pizzazz, Garden Green, Shaded Spruce, Mossy Meadow, Pretty Peacock, Sahara Sand, Basic Black, Forever Greenery DSP, Gold Foil; Ink: Sahara Sand, Versamark; Accessories: Flowers for Every Season Gems, White Embossing Powder, Forever Flourishing Dies, Die-Cutting Machine, Dimensionals.

Hop on over to Holly Krautkremer's blog to see what amazing creations she has put together with this week's set.
