The Stamp Review Crew: Forever Blossoms

Stamp Review Crew Blog Hop: Inspiring you one stamp set at a time

Welcome to another Stamp Crew Review Blog Hop!  We share our take on a selected stamp set every first and third Monday.  This week we are taking a look at the new Jan - Jun Occasions Catalog with the set Forever Blossoms.  This set has coordinating Cherry Blossoms dies, and also pairs well with the Parisian Beauty bundle.  If you are following the blog hop order, you have just come from the very lovely Holly Krautkremer's blog.

With a good-sized cherry blossoms branch, Forever Blossoms is a perfect set for spring, weddings, or even Valentine's Day.  As I mentioned in a previous post, cherry blossoms can be used for the Chinese New Year to symbolize "the promise of spring and a renewal of life".  So with that in mind, I'm using traditional Chinese New Year colors.

This card uses Freshly Made Sketches #420.

Stamps: Forever Blossoms, Happy Birthday To You; Paper: Real Red, Basic Black, Whisper White, Gold Foil; Ink: Flirty Flamingo, Real Red, Calypso Coral, Old Olive, Basic Black; Accessories: Metallic Pearls, White Embossing Powder, Aquapainter, Watercolor Brush, Brayer, Circle Collection Dies, 3" Circle Die, Die-Cutting Machine, e-cutter.

ICYMI, here's a card I created with this set for our quarterly downline shoebox swap.

Make sure you hop over to the always fabulous Lauren Alarid to see what fun projects she has put together with this week's set.

So pretty! Love how you have used your circle space with the blossoms extending out beyond the circle. Thanks so much for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches!

Your cherry blossom are gorgeous! I love the way you added them behind the circle and popping out on the other side. The traditional colors are beautiful. Thank you for playing along with us at Freshly Made Sketches.

Beautiful cards, Heidi! I love the colors you used. The gold accents are a perfect touch on the first card...such a rich look! The striped paper on the second card gives it such a spring look!
