Welcome to another Stamp Crew Review Blog Hop! We share our take on a selected stamp set every first and third Monday. This week we are going back to an annual catalog set which was one of the first I purchased last year, Lilypad Lake. This one reminds me of my uncle's house in Michigan. If you are following the blog hop order, you have just come from the very lovely Linda Callahan's blog. Aren't her projects always beautiful?
Hubs needed a "get well soon" card for a co-worker, so I challenged myself to use some Lilypad Lake scraps I had from another project. Based on the sketch, I needed the egret to face the opposite direction. For this, I used the mirror image technique, utilizing the Stamparatus and Silicon Craft Sheet.
The Gingham Gala paper blends in fairly nicely with the water die-cuts. I added the sentiment in the inside of the card. This card uses CAS(E) this Sketch #307.
Stamps: Lilypad Lake; Paper: Grapefruit Grove, Granny Apple Green, Shaded Spruce, Balmy Blue, Whisper White, Watercolor Paper, Gingham Gala DSP; Ink: Poppy Parade, Flirty Flamingo, Granny Apple Green, Shaded Spruce, Smoky Slate, Basic Black; Accessories: SAB Organdy Ribbon Combo Pack, Aquapainter, Lakeside Framelits, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Rectangle Stitched Framelits, Big Shot, Dimensionals.
Here are a couple samples created for a blog hop with Lilypad Lake when the Annual Catalog first came out.
Make sure you hop over to the always fabulous Cindy Elam to see what fun projects she has put together with this week's set.

Great card, Heidi! Love all the blue you added in various ways. And thanks for reminding me about reverse images with the craft sheet. I made another of my cards as a Get Well for one of my husband's co-workers too! :)
Loving the blues! Very pretty card! And one of these days I will have to try that reverse trick with the mat!
The gingham looks awesome with the “water.” Did you sponge or spritz through the die itself, or a due cut? Love that look!
So pretty, Heidi! Love the calming blues and gingham.
