The Stamp Review Crew: Bike Ride

Stamp Review Crew Blog Hop: Inspiring you one stamp set at a time

Welcome to another Stamp Crew Review Blog Hop!  We share our take on a selected stamp set every first and third Monday.  This week we are stamping with a fun "builder" set from the annual catalog, Bike Ride.  If you are following the blog hop order, you have just come from the very lovely Nikki Spencer's blog.  Aren't her projects always beautiful?

Starting off with a clean card, i.e., mailable, flat, no-embellishment card.

Narelle at Freshly Made Sketches inspired me to create this card (sketch #381).  I cut the base to have a short front panel so the "road" pattern would carry through to the inside.

Stamps: Bike Ride, Lift Me Up; Paper: Blueberry Bushel, Basic Black, Whisper White, Botanical Butterfly DSP; Ink: Blueberry Bushel, Soft Suede, Smoky Slate, Memento Tuxedo Black; Accessories: Build a Bike Framelits, Big Shot.

The Best Route DSP pack has been staring at me through this whole annual catalog season, and I haven't used it.  Has that ever happened to you?  Well, this is a good time to break it open.

I created a small notecard, following the sketch from Fab Friday #159.

And here is the inside.

Stamps: Bike Ride, Pedaling Past; Paper: Blueberry Bushel, Gray Granite, Whisper White, Best Route DSP; Ink: Blueberry Bushel, Gray Granite, Memento Tuxedo Black, Versamark; Accessories: Blueberry Bushel Grosgrain Ribbon, White Embossing Powder, Build a Bike Framelits, Big Shot, Dimensionals.

ICYMI, here's a previous card I made with Bike Ride.

Make sure you hop over to the always fabulous Cindy Elam to see what fun projects she has put together with this week's set.

Love these, Heidi and I've yet to use the Best Route DSP either! Yikes! The blue is gorgeous with the gray. Love how you shortened the card front and added the DSP to the bottom, super fun!

I love the bright blue and gray together as well! Very sharp! And I always wanted a pup who would ride in my basket when I was a kid and I could never make it happen.....lol...cute card!

Great minds! I only just discovered my stash of the Best Route DSP and wondered why I had not used it with this set. I love these striking cards Heidi. x
