SSC199 DTP Flowering Desert

Welcome to another Sunday Stamps color challenge.  I put together my shoebox project for our Occasions/SAB downline meeting, and I noticed the colors would work out great for this color challenge.  Cool beans!

Stampin' Up! Flowering Desert
I decided to use the Direct-to-Paper (DTP) technique for my project.  It's a project-friendly technique when we are meeting at a local restaurant (water coloring, heat guns, or long-drying techniques would be less desirable).

I used an old tutorial from Michelle Zindorf with updated colors.  Once upon a time she gave a DTP technique class in CT, and I am still so sad I missed it!

Here are this week's colors; use a minimum of 3 colors and a neutral of your choice.

Stamps: Flowering Desert; Paper: Night of Navy, Basic Black, Whisper White; Ink: Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry, Daffodil Delight, Balmy Blue, Night of Navy, Rich Razzleberry, Basic Black, Versamark; Accessories: Black Metallic Thread, White Embossing Powder, Dimensionals.

Don't miss Sale-a-Bration's new release of products, for a limited time!

Heidi, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this card. The desert is a happy place for me. I lived in PHX for a few years and I miss everything about the SW. Such a fabulous watercolor background, too! XXX

Heidi, I don't know what technique you used for the background but you captured a beautiful desert sunset! I love it!! :)
