Welcome to another Stamp Crew Review Blog Hop! We share our take on a selected stamp set every first and third Monday. This week's hop focuses on a new Annual Catalog set, Tropical Chic, which coordinates with the Tropical thinlits dies. If you are following the blog hop order, you have just come from the very talented Nikki Spencer's blog. Aren't her projects always beautiful?
I put together a shoebox swap card for our downline meeting using this week's set. I wanted to build a card around the leafy frame die-cut.
I used some Tropical Escape DSP to fill in the background (keeping it easy-peasy for a shoebox project). I used two frames, with selective trimming, to allow for two leaf colors.
The sentiment from Lemon Zest is one of my favorites! This is also my card for this week's Sunday Stamps challenge, using the following sketch by Monika.
And here's another card I made recently with Tropical Chic, pairing it with Fabulous Flamingo. I stamped the leaves and then used the more detailed framelits to cut them out. I'm in love with the saw palmetto stamp & die-cut!
Stamps: Fabulous Flamingo, Tropical Chic; Paper: Lemon Lime Twist, Basic Black, Whisper White, Tropical Escape DSP; Ink: Flirty Flamingo, Lovely Lipstick, Lemon Lime Twist, Granny Apple Green, Shaded Spruce, Versamark, Basic Black marker; Accessories: Black Baker's Twine, White Embossing Powder, Decorative Ribbon Border Punch, Tropical Thinlits, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Big Shot, Dimensionals.
Hop on over to the fabulous Mike Funke's blog to see what fun projects he has put together with this week's set.
