The Stamp Review Crew: Oh So Succulent

Welcome to another Stamp Crew Review Blog Hop!  We share our take on a selected stamp set every first and third Monday.  We're playing with another Occasions set, Oh So Succulent, and coordinating Succulent framelits.  If you are following the blog hop order, you have just come from the amazing Bruno Bertucci's blog.  I always love his take on our chosen stamp set!

I put together a quickie for Stamp Club this past week.

This is a two-step stamping set, meaning there is an outline stamp and a "fill" stamp.  The fill images were stamped off once, and this card uses Freshly Made Sketches #278.  The terra cotta pot comes from the Basket Builder framelits, and the edges, including an additional "lip" layer, were sponged for some depth.

Stamps: Oh So Succulent; Paper: Calypso Coral, Sweet Sugarplum, Whisper White, Succulent Garden DSP; Ink: Calypso Coral, Sweet Sugarplum, Rich Razzleberry, Mint Macaron, Old Olive; Accessories: Delicate White Doilies, Sponge, Succulent Framelits, Basket Builder Framelits, Big Shot, Dimensionals.

Without reinventing the wheel, I creating the same card with a more masculine flavor (for my green thumb father-in-law's birthday).

In place of the doily, I created a shadow by watercoloring a bit of Tip Top Taupe ink.

Stamps: Oh So Succulent; Paper: Calypso Coral, Tip Top Taupe, Whisper White, Succulent Garden DSP; Ink: Calypso Coral, Sweet Sugarplum, Rich Razzleberry, Mint Macaron, Old Olive, Tip Top Taupe; Accessories: Aquapainter, Sponge, Succulent Framelits, Basket Builder Framelits, Big Shot, Dimensionals.

I had great plans for things to make for this hop.  But this stamp set was one I was given (without the framelits) to create display samples last fall for Stampin' Up's OnStage convention, so I have already played with it a fair amount.  I have to admit creating with the framelits is A LOT more fun!  When you get a chance, check out the details of the other samples I previously posted with this set.

Up next is the very talented Rochelle Blok.  Let's check out what fun projects she has put together with this week's set.

Super to show this in both feminine and masculine palettes. I think I will need to order the basket framelit set now:)

Darling terra cotta pot. Awesome idea. Thank you for showing in alternate colors as well. Very nice to see.

That must of been a ton of work to hand cut all of those succulents for your On Stage samples. BRAVO!

Two gorgeous cards Heidi! I love how a couple of easy changes transforms the card to more neutral territory! Kelly x
