Stampin' Addicts Occasions Catalog Blog Hop

Hello Everyone, Welcome to the Stampin' Addicts Occasions Catalog Blog Hop, which features amazing products from the new Occasions Catalog.  Sit back and enjoy some wonderful ideas using the newest stamping goodies!

If you have been following the blog hop in order, you have just come from Mickey's post featuring That's the Tag.  Mickey always has beautiful projects!  And today I will show you some projects using the set Dragonfly Dreams, which also can be bundled with coordinating Detailed Dragonfly thinlit dies.

This set is great for pulling together a quick, simple, elegant card for Stamp Club, which was perfect when I was short on time.

I used the Rock & Roll technique, as Shelli demonstrated OnStage in November, and the bokeh images were stamped off for a subtle look.  This uses Freshly Made Sketches #269.

Stamps: Dragonfly Dreams; Paper: Peekaboo Peach, Very Vanilla, Cupcakes & Carousels DSP, Gold Glimmer Paper; Ink: So Saffron, Peekaboo Peach, Calypso Coral, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso; Accessories: Pearl Jewels, Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits, Big Shot.

And there is a new Sunday Stamps sketch this coming weekend.  I won't reveal it here, but here's a sneak peek of my card.

I started off with some watercoloring with the goal of doing some ink smash technique.  The yellow kept muddying up a bit, so I switched gears to the galaxy technique with white acrylic paint.  Watercoloring and smashing (be it with ink or acrylic paint) is just something that keeps getting better as you keep going.  I have Miley Cyrus in my head.  ♪ We can't stop.  We won't stop. ♪  Just keep working your panel.

Stamps: Dragonfly Dreams; Paper: Island Indigo, Basic Black, Very Vanilla, Watercolor Paper; Ink: Daffodil Delight, Island Indigo, Elegant Eggplant, Versamark; Accessories: Rhinestone Jewels, White Embossing Powder, White Acrylic Paint, Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits, Big Shot, Sewing Machine, Thread, Dimensionals.

Make sure you check out the next stop to see what Yapha at Stamps & Scraps with Yapha put together using Cool Treats. She has made some amazing projects!

OK, your galaxy background is gorgeous! And you know you are the one that started me on the stitching on cards, and you still do it better than I do, lol!
You first card is lovely also, but you knew I would be drawn to the watercoloring and the stitching ;)
