Stampin' Addicts Retiring Stamp Set Blog Hop

Welcome to the Stampin' Addicts official good-bye party, the Retiring Stamp Set Blog Hop! Have you marked up your catalog with all the retiring sets?  Make sure to grab those that caught your eye before they are gone!  And we are here to tempt you a little further with some of our favorite retiring sets.  ;)

If you have been following the blog hop in order, you have just come from Yapha's blog featuring the Epic Alphabet. Her projects are always fantastic!

Today I'm featuring an elegant stamp set, Everything Eleanor.  I always pick at least one retiring stamp set to feature in our last stamp club meeting of the catalog.  Today I have a little coordinating ensemble, as I am putting together some thank you packages for my club members as well.

For the card, I used Connie & Mary sketch CCMC403.  I love to clear emboss the swirl image. It adds an subtle elegant touch to all your projects.

Stamps: Everything Eleanor, Botanical Blooms, A Dozen Thoughts; Paper: Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive, Very Vanilla, Bohemian DSP, Cherry on Top DSP; Ink: Rich Razzleberry, Island Indigo, Old Olive, Delightful Dijon, Black Stazon, Versamark; Accessories: Blackberry Bliss satin ribbon, Gold Metallic Thread, Clear EP, White EP, Clothespin, Mini Stapler, Aquapainter, Triple Banner punch, Greetings thinlits, Botanical Builder framelits, Spiral Flower die, Big Shot, Dimensionals.

I have a couple samples I've made in the past with this set.  These images work particularly well for a clean & elegant card wedding card.

Little details include the heat-embossed flourishes and stamens highlighted with Crystal Effects.

Stamps: Everything Eleanor, Bravo; Paper: Pear Pizzazz, Whisper White; Ink: Pear Pizzazz, Versamark; Accessories: Linen thread, Clear embossing powder, Crystal Effects, Sponge.

And I tried my hand at some messy water coloring.  In this case, the images are stamped on watercolor paper as a guideline, then you go to town with water and color to create soft edges, shadows, and depth.

Stamps: Everything Eleanor, Endless Birthday Wishes; Paper: Very Vanilla, Watercolor paper; Ink: Pumpkin Pie, Tangelo Twist, Tangerine Tango, Cajun Craze, Mossy Meadow, Lost Lagoon, Soft Suede, Early Espresso, Tuxedo Black Memento; Accessories: Aquapainter.

Make sure you check out the next stop to see what Twila put together using Hello Life.  I can't wait to see what she created!

Stunning watercolor card! And you know that I would pick that first with my current obsession with watercolor ;) The others are just as lovely!

All three are wonderful! Love the unexpected combo of the bold DSP with the soft flower in the first ensemble.

WOWZA! I love all of these, but the watercolor card is REMARKABLE! I never would have guessed the stamp set...it looks free-hand painted. Oh my.
