The Stamp Review Crew: Watercolor Wings

Welcome to another Stamp Crew Review Blog Hop!  We share our take on a selected stamp set every first and third Monday.  Butterflies are very popular, so you'll love this week's set, Watercolor Wings

If you are following the blog hop order, you have just come from Jessica's blog.  She always has such fun projects!

With this set, you can make a variety of elegant cards, but I had a 3-D in mind.  To be specific, I wanted to make a butterfly box for stamp club.  Erica Cerwin had created one with Butterflies thinlits from the Occasions catalog, so why not give it a whirl with this stamp set and Bold Butterfly coordinating framelit?

The harsh thing is that you have to cut the little butterfly in half so you can open and shut the box.  It's ok!  He'll feel whole when the box is closed.  Wouldn't this make an adorable table favor?

Three stamps are used to create the butterfly wings, in this case, 3-step stamping. Don't you love how it gives it such depth with the variety of shade and color?

Stamps: Watercolor Wings; Paper: Rich Razzleberry, Very Vanilla, Bohemian DSP, Vellum; Ink: Island Indigo, Rich Razzleberry; Accessories: Bohemian washi tape, White baker's twine, Scalloped Tag Topper punch, Bold Butterfly framelit, Curvy Keepsake Box thinlit, Big Shot.

Now make sure you check out the next stop to see what lovelies Tanya has put together for us with this week's stamp set.

Those colors are so striking together on a butterfly! That being said, the entire box is just so darn creative, not to mention gorgeous!
