Bold, Drippy Rainbow

Here's another card from this week's Watercolor Wonder class, using water and reinkers.

Did you know if you get a stream of water going down your paper (using an Aquapainter), and add a drop or two of ink, it will also follow the path of the stream and nowhere else?  It is pretty easy to control where the color is going if you use a heat gun to dry between colors.   You can add more than one layer of color as well, like I did with the green.  It is so fun to make water "move".

I'm playing along with Mix-Ability challenge #31, Drip, Drip, Drip.  I was inspired by a card by Ronda Palazzari and couldn't wait to try it with Stampin' Up supplies.

Stamps: In the Bag Paper Pumpkin, Yippee-Skippee!, Dictionary BG; Paper: Basic Black, Very Vanilla, Watercolor paper; Ink: Black Stazon, Versamark, Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Gumball Green, Pool Party, Pacific Point, Elegant Eggplant reinkers; Accessories: Rhinestone jewels, Early Espresso baker's twine, Clear embossing power, Aquapainter, Beautiful Wings embosslit, Big Shot, Dimensionals.

WOW! Who knew science could be so much fun?! Amazing what one could do with just a few drops of H2O and ink. What a really cool technique.

That looks like fun. I love the image that was embossed in clear…an interesting twist on this technique. Great, cheerful card. Thanks for sharing!
