MDSM52 Hey There, Janneke

Hi Everyone, Time for another MDS Monday challenge.  Today is my card sketch challenge, and the extra challenge is to add music to your card, e.g., musical notes, lyrics, musical instruments, even birds, since they sing.  Perhaps a favorite song or lyric line.  Here's the sketch -

Now, will it surprise you if I make a scrap page?  No, I would guess not.

It was this memory that made me think of this challenge, always, always singing Hey There, Delilah to my daughter when she was an infant to get her to sleep.  But I would replaced "Delilah" with "Janneke".  I don't have a photo of Janneke and myself in a rocking chair, but I do have one of Hubby.

I layered some Be Yourself DSP with a wonderful element that Wendie discovered, the watercolor embellishment from Lemonade Stand.  For the notebook paper, I used a little Photoshop Jedi Mind Trick.  :)

For those familiar with PSE, here's a little outline: I imported a jpeg output file of the spiral punch into PSE, and with the paint bucket tool, color the rest of the area that is NOT part of the punch.  Copy/paste this "not punch" area into a new file with a transparent background, import the Back to School notebook paper into that file, and make the "not punch" layer your clipping mask.  Save as a PNG file.  I just love how a little help from a photo editing tool can really help you accomplish what you want on your page.

MDS Elements: Paper: Be Yourself DSP, Back to School DSP; Accessories: Lemonade Stand - watercolor, Accessory cord pack from Sale-a-bration 2014, Delightful Digital Tape, Spiral punch; Font: Clipper Script, You Won't Bring Me Down.

Thanks for stopping by!
