Welcome to another Stamp Crew Review Blog Hop! We share our take on a selected stamp set every first and third Monday. What feels better when the weather turns chilly than a cozy, hot drink? With that in mind, we turn our focus to the fun stamp set Perfect Blend.
This is the first stop from the top, but if you are hopping around in a circle, you have just come from Rita's beautiful blog. Today I am folding in this week's Friday Mashup challenge, a non-holiday, winter project with embossing, into my hop project. I was just inspired by Holly's challenge photo!
Here's the front -
And the inside - Did I tell you I was in college for 10 years? I spent many an hour pouring over books with cups of coffee, often with wintery weather blowing outside. There is some type of bittersweet comfort for me every time I make a coffee-stained book card.
The instructions for the inside pop-up book card was redesigned for an A2 card by shoebox swap friend Diane Zechman.
Stamps: Perfect Blend, Yippee-Skippee!, Wahoo (September Paper Pumpkin), Gorgeous Grunge, Coffee mug (for coffee ring); Paper: Coastal Cabana, Island Indigo, Crumb Cake, Smoky Slate, Very Vanilla, Whisper White, Winter Frost DSP, Soho Subway DSP, Modern Medley DSP; Ink: Coastal Cabana, Island Indigo, Soft Suede, Crumb Cake; Accessories: Linen thread, Naturals designer button, 2-1/2" Circle punch, Sponges, Chevron EF, Perfect Polka Dot EF, Woodgrain EF, Big Shot, Dimensionals.
I wanted to make a Via Travel Pouch to coordinate with the coffee cup image, and leaning towards a vintage look, I ended up with this kinda funky, eclectic packet. Here's the front -
Unwrap the twine from the vintage brads and flip up the front cover to reveal -
I was going for a look similar to the "You Are Here" regional collector's mug, and after the project was complete, I found it matched the New York mug pretty well. The graphics on the Soho Subway background paper was too large for my project, so using the MDS digital paper, I zoomed out and printed on copy paper.
Stamps: Perfect Blend, Fabulous Phrases; Paper: Summer Starfruit, Soft Sky, Very Vanilla, Whisper White, Soho Subway DSP; Ink: Crumb Cake, Early Espresso; Accessories: Linen thread, Antique brads, Regals Collection button, Wide Oval punch, Sponges, Bitty Banners framelits, Squares Collection framelits, Big Shot, Soho Subway DSP MDS download, Dimensionals.
Make sure you check out the next stop to see what lovelies Cindy at Stamps, Paper and Ink put together with the set. Thanks for stopping by!

Adorable projects! The book pages on the inside of your first card are clever and unexpected! Love the coffee stain on them! The DSP that you chose for your second perfect is just perfect. I love the little pouches that you created!
LOVE the graduation card, complete with coffee stains and a clever use of the streaky stamp from Gorgeous Grunge to make pages! I spent a lot of time poring over text books too, but not 10 years....yet, lol!
That travel packet is awesome too! I love how we can use MDS to make things fit our projects too :)
All I can say are your cards are gorgeous!
And, the pop out book card is amazing. Love all the details and colors. You did yourself proud with the eclectic vintage look too. Well done!
Super beaty the landscape in the cup. lovely idea.
Goodness, both projects are fabulous. I absolutely love the pop up book card - so clever! The colors and patterns on the card holder are so fun and I really like how you added the pocket for the sugar. TFS!
