Happy Monday, Everyone! Time for another page sketch on MDS Monday, and I am host! Months back, there was a page on mydigitalstudio.net that won the bi-weekly challenge, created by Tracey Collier, and I just fell in love with the layout. I thought it would be fun to recreate the page with your choice of coordinating digital papers.
This page is great practice with the Arrange > Align and Group functions. Create the square punches and space them out and line them up as you like them, then group the boxes on the top or the bottom and rotate the whole group with your mouse by pulling on the corner of the group.
This is a page of my daughter and myself on our annual summer bucket list visit to Minnewaska State Park. We always take the long bike ride up the carriage trails to Lake Awosting, then the ride back down to Lake Minnewaska, biking and swimming as we go along. The day is always finished off with a hot dog picnic.
When I asked her why she loves Minnewaska so much, I expected to hear the lakes, the biking, the hot dog picnic. Nope. She said, "'Cause I get to swim with you, Mama!" Awwww! I love that I can be a semi-working-at-home, making-my-own-hours mom. It was one of those days that I think to myself, "I raised my kid well that day."
MDS Elements: Paper: You're My Sunshine DSP, A Split Second DSP, Howlstooth & Scaringbone DSP; Embellishments: Basic Gray grosgrain ribbon, Downtown Grunge frame, Top Notch woodcut, Smitten alphabet punches; Font: Bernard MT Condensed.
Thanks for stopping by!

Loved this sketch, Heidi....even though I do have a hard time deciding what DSP I'm going to use. I love this series and it goes well with your photo! I love your journaling too.
Beautiful page and beautiful story, Heidi. Super colours/papers on this one, and that quote is perfect. Thanks for the great challenge this week!
