More Mix-Ability Catch-Up

Hi Everyone, I've got some more Mix-Ability challenges to share with you.  The challenges use a lot of techniques we stampers are already familar with, but I love playing with media I haven't tried yet, and I love getting messy!  :)

MIX16 - Glitter under Glass

I had a vision for this card, and I'm super happy it worked out.  I stamped and punched some Mosaic Madness images, then I wanted to apply Dazzling Diamonds glitter. The two-way glue pen would smear the ink, so I pulled out my glue pad instead and pressed it face down into the pad, applied glitter, then a thick layer of Crystal Effects. It took FOREVER to dry since it is so humid in the Northeast right now (READ: took much longer to dry than my patience).

MIX17 - Yin/Yang Part II

This challenge called for a smooth and rough media on the project.   For smooth texture, I heat embossed my lobster. For a rough medium, I used dry embossing and stitching. The humidity is wreaking havoc on my stamping... the ink pads are super wet. We will press ahead anyway. The chevrons were made by stamping on the back with the Oh, Hello chevrons and then trimming and shortening them.

MIX18 - Simple Shapes = Art

This challenge called for coloring shapes freehand and then outlining them.  I totally froze.  Hey, I stamp because I can't draw!  My daughter helped me out by coloring some shapes for me, and I outlined them and cut them out.  For the background, I used the acrylic paint/credit card technique (MIX22), then added acrylic paint on bubble wrap, acrylic paint on chicken wire stamp, and sponging for clouds.

If you are interested in the supplies used for these projects, you can find them in my SCS gallery.  Thanks for stopping by!

Great cards. I particularly like the Mosaic with the glitter. You said you used a glue pad. Sorry for my ignorance, but what is that, please? Have a great time at Convention and be safe.
