Happy Monday, Everyone! It's time for another MDS Monday challenge, and this week Joan has a double-page spread for us.
I did do back-to-back pages of our time down in Florida, but the pages don't coordinate, so I'll show them separately.
I liked the clean canvas look, but then it seemed too blank, so I had to splatter it.
MDS Elements: Stamps: Candy Conversations, Natural Composition Overlays, French Foliage; Color Palette: Color matched from right photo; Accessories: More Candid Frames, Baja Breeze baker's twine, Staples; Font: Pea Lex Valentine.
Since visiting Rapunzel was the highlight of our day, I went with a Tangled-theme background. The bricks are recolored Well Worn paper at 70% opacity, and the flags are from the village scene in the movie. I used some flower punches to create the bushes.
MDS Elements: Stamps: Calendar Kit; Paper: Well Worn (color changed to Basic Gray, 70% opacity); Color Palette: Color matched to Rapunzel's dress, So Saffron, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, Basic Gray; Accessories: White baker's twine, Chocolate Chip brads, Petite Pennant Punch, 5-Petal Flower punch, Blossom Bouquet 1 punch; Font: Tangled.
And I had another page in mind which fit nicely with the first sketch, so I went with it.
MDS Elements: Stamps: Sunflower, Frames with a Flourish, Word Play, Just Perfect Alphabet, Rough Type, Ink Splatter 4; Paper: First Edition DSP, Mocha Morning DSP, Sweet Details DSP, New Heights DSP, More Mustard DSP; Color Palette: More Mustard, Basic Black; Accessories: White baker's twine, Basic Black brad, Antique brads, Petite Pennant Punch, Scallop Trim border punch.
