No Bones 'Bout It

We attended the NY/NJ shoebox swap this past weekend in Middletown, NY.  Lots of fun to get together with the girls for a day of chatting and stamping (and if you live nearby, you need to join us next time!).

I wanted to make a coffin card, so this is what I ended up with for my shoebox project.

I used a coffin box I made last year as a launching point for this design.  The skeleton lies inside the coffin with a "toe tag".  Love it!

This is the first and second iteration on the inside.  I think I like it better with the patterned paper.

I'm also sharing this project on this month's Stampin' Celebration Inspiration Challenge.

I love the spider web image, the black and white piano keys can be represented in the patterned paper used for the rosette, and of course the rosettes themselves are reminiscent of the flowers used on the wreath.  I'm just missing the blue...

Stamps: Piece of Poison; Paper: Basic Gray, Basic Black, Very Vanilla, Pick Your Poison DSP; Ink: Basic Black, Whisper White Craft; Accessories: Sponge dauber, Basic Black taffeta ribbon, White baker's twine, Boho Blossom punch, Word Window punch, Modern Label punch, 3/4" circle punch, 1" Circle punch, Simple Scored tool, Spider Web embossing folder, Big Shot, Glue gun, Dimensionals.

Thanks for stopping by!

Oh, what fun cards! I rarely make any cards that are not the typical size and shape! I love the fronts! Thanks for joining us this month Heidi!

These are so cool! I love the way the embossing and sponging looks - why have I never used gray with that embossing folder?! Love it! The rosettes are great too! Thanks for joining us at Stampin' Celebration!

I just love this card, so creative. Did you have a template for the coffin? How tall is the card itself. Very, very creative!
