The Stamp Review Crew: Jar of Love

Welcome to another Stamp Crew Review Blog Hop!  We share our take on a selected stamp set every first and third Monday.  This week we are taking a look at the Jar of Love bundle, which includes the Jar of Love stamp set and matching Everyday Jars framelits.   If you are following the blog hop order, you have just come from the hugely talented Holly Stene's blog.  I just love her style!

Combining my project with this week's Sunday Stamps Challenge, I started with a flower focus.

There are several ways to add stems to your jar and make them look like they are inside the jar.  Here I chose for stamping on the jar cut-out and gluing the stem cut-outs to the backside of the jar.  I used Freshly Made Sketches #247 for my card.

Stamps: Jar of Love; Paper: Marina Mist, Very Vanilla, Whisper White, A Little Foxy DSP; Ink: Pear Pizzazz, Soft Sky, Pool Party, Marina Mist, Dapper Denim, Smoky Slate, Memento Tuxedo Black; Accessories: Very Vanilla Lace Trim, Dapper Denim Ruched Ribbon, White Baker's Twine, 2-1/2" Circle Punch, Everyday Jars framelits, Big Shot, Dimensionals.

Once I got started with this color palette, I made another card featuring our limited-time bundle Thoughtful Branches.

This is a tall skinny 3-3/4 x 6" card, so I am thankful we have the Envelope Punch Board so I can make any size envelope I need!  So a story came over my Facebook feed today that a fiance of a local woman who suffered a head injury by a car incident in a parking lot was calling for birthday cards to celebrate her 50th birthday.  This one will be going to her.

I stamped two layers of hydrangeas, both on Whisper White and Soft Sky card stock, first with Soft Sky ink and then overstamping by sponging Marina Mist and Dapper Denim on areas of the stamp.  The jar is stamped both on Very Vanilla and acetate, and the flower stem is layered in between.

Stamps: Jar of Love, Thoughtful Branches; Paper: Pear Pizzazz, Soft Sky, Marina Mist, Very Vanilla, Whisper White, Vellum, Acetate; Ink: Soft Sky, Marina Mist, Dapper Denim, Smoky Slate, Basic Gray, Versamark; Accessories: Linen Thread, White Embossing Powder, Sponges, Everyday Jars Framelits, Beautiful Branches Thinlits, Big Shot, Sewing Machine, Thread.

Now make sure you check out the next stop to see what fun projects Betty Traciak has put together with this week's stamp set.

Two pretty cards in blue, Holly! Love how you have the jar on the first card backed by the circle and the DSP on the label looks awesome. Your big blue hydrangea looks gorgeous in the jar took. I love a longer card!

Oh my, Heidi, both cards are simply stunning. Love all the blues, the tip about the stems in the first card and the striking hydrangea in the second.

I'm not sure what "overstamping means? Could you help me please?
Love your cards! These two bundles are some of my favorites! There are so many ideals for each of these sets. Now you've combined the two. Great job!

Gloria, overstamping means stamping more than one time by either using a Stamp-a-ma-jig or a MISTI. Hope that helps!
