The Stamp Review Crew: Nothing's Better Than

Stamp Review Crew Blog Hop: Inspiring you one stamp set at a time

Welcome to another Stamp Crew Review Blog Hop!  We share our take on a selected stamp set every first and third Monday of the month.  This week's fun set, Nothing's Better Than, was created by million-dollar sales demo Connie Stewart.  If you are following the hop in order, you have just arrived from the blog of the very talented Lou Kitzelman.

I don't think a coffee & chocolate stamp set will go by without me purchasing it, and Nothing's Better Than is no exception.  It focuses on the daily stimulants in our lives that help us be awesome.  In the past I had discovered my 3 C's of crafting, coffee, chocolate, and cats, while this set highlights 4 C's, coffee, chocolate, cookies, and cocktails.

Combining this week's hop with Sunday Stamps sketch challenge, I created a my first spanner card.  What a fun tri-layer card!

I was able to use the "Happy Birthday" from Sweet Ice Cream to overlay the inside sentiment, also from the same set.

I also decorated both layers with overlaying coffee and cookies images.

My card uses a rotated version this week's Sunday Stamps's sketch by Annette.

Stamps: Nothing's Better Than, Sweet Ice Cream; Paper: Bumblebee, Just Jade, Basic Black, Very Vanilla, Dandy Garden DSP, Flowers for Every Season DSP; Ink: Just Jade, Sahara Sand, Memento Tuxedo Black, Versamark, Basic Black Stampin' Blends; Accessories: Pearl Jewels, Window Sheets, White Embossing Powder, Stitched So Sweetly Dies, Die-Cutting Machine, e-cutter.

For another recent Sunday Stamps color challenge, I created a bright cocktail card, using new and retiring In Colors.

Inside sentiment says, "YOU MAKE EVERYTHING BETTER."

Stamps: Nothing's Better Than; Paper: Night of Navy, Whisper White, Pansy Petals DSP; Ink: Pale Papaya, Polished Pink, Seaside Spray, Night of Navy, Versamark; Accessories: Flowers for Every Season Gems, White Embossing Powder, e-cutter, Dimensionals.

And ICYMI, here are some past samples with the featured stamp set.

Hop on over to Jay Soriano's blog to see what amazing creations he has put together with this week's set.
