Last-Chance Countdown: Magical Mermaid

Hi All,  While we wait for the new catalog to start on June 3, I am having fun revisiting some retiring sets.  Today I'm focusing on Magical Mermaid with the help of Sea of Textures.

All the action is happening in the underwater scene.  I sponge brayered the background, and the fish were created by sponging through the die-cut.  After stamping, I sponged Whisper White Craft ink through the sun rays stencil (Hooray It's Your Day kit) and flicked water onto the scene with a watercolor brush.

Some inspiration for the card is Just Add Ink sketch #507 and a fun mood board from our Virtual Card Making Fun Facebook group (sorry, I don't know the original source for this one).

Stamps: Magical Mermaid, Sea of Textures; Paper: Tranquil Tide, Night of Navy, Fresh Fig, Whisper White, Tranquil Textures DSP; Ink: Tranquil Tide, Bermuda Bay, Night of Navy, Fresh Fig, Memento Tuxedo Black, Whisper White Craft; Accessories: Linen Thread, Sponge Brayer, Sponges, Hooray It's Your Day Kit (mask), Under the Sea Dies, Circles Collection Dies, Layering Circles Dies, Die-Cutting Machine.

This is fabulous Heidi! I love the texture you’ve created with your background and your underwater scene with the sunlight rays is gorgeous. So clever to use the different dies and elements as stencils! Thanks for sharing with us at Just Add Ink this week.
