Stampin' Up! Wonderland

I hear our friend Linda Callahan is having a birthday!  I know it would be easier to go through the stash and grab a card to send, but isn't it more fun to stamp a fresh one?

I saw this color combination on our local Hudson Valley Vintage Facebook page.  HVVintage is an antique store which also teaches painting techniques.  I went to a farmhouse clock workshop there and fell in love.

And Linda might be familiar with this card sketch.

The challenge with this layout was to get the sentiment to pop against both a white background and dark trees, so I brayered the bottom corner with Gray Granite ink in order to darken the entire background.

Happy birthday, Linda!!

Stamps: Wonderland, Love What You Do; Paper: Shaded Spruce, Whisper White, Festive Farmhouse DSP; Ink: Shaded Spruce, Gray Granite, Versamark; Accessories: Rhinestone Jewels, White Embossing Powder, Brayer, Watercolor Brush, Dimensionals.

Heidi, this is lovely! Love the background, it has an almost matte mattalic look. Very nice!
