The Stamp Review Crew: Winter Woods

Stamp Review Crew Blog Hop: Inspiring you one stamp set at a time

Welcome to another Stamp Crew Review Blog Hop!  We share our take on a selected stamp set every first and third Monday.  This week's hop focuses on a main catalog set, Winter Woods, which coordinates with In the Woods dies.  If you are following the hop in order, you have just arrived from the blog of the very talented Jay Soriano.

For this hop, I wanted to focus on the stamp I haven't used yet, the birch trees background image.

I cut apart the birch stamp so I could use each tree independently (yes, I did!).  I also lightly watercolored in between the trees with Seaside Spray ink.

This card uses Freshly Made Sketches #404.

Stamps: Winter Woods; Paper: Sahara Sand, Whisper White, Woven Threads DSP; Ink: Mossy Meadow, Seaside Spray, Soft Suede, Basic Gray; Accessories: Magnolia Lane Ribbon Combo Pack, Aquapainter, Ovals Collection Dies, In the Woods Dies, Die-Cutting Machine, Dimensionals.

ICYMI, here are a couple previous cards I've made with this set.

Hop on over to Ann Schach's blog to see what amazing creations she has put together with this week's set.

Such a lovely card. The birch trees are a gorgeous background - that hint of color between them really makes them pop! Thank you for playing along with us at Freshly Made Sketches.

Beautiful, Heidi! I love the birch trees with the Seaside Spray in between. I may just have to cut mine apart!
