Welcome to another Stamp Crew Review Blog Hop! We share our take on a selected stamp set every first and third Monday. This week's hop focuses on a carry-over from the Occasions Catalog, Waterfront. This set gives a perfect artistic look to a project with watercolor-like images. If you are following the blog hop order, you have just come from the very lovely and talented Adriana Benitez's blog. Aren't her projects always beautiful?
When I look at this set, I see either a tropical beach scene or out-west mountain scene. Thinking about our yearly trip to Quebec, I'm inspired by an East Coast or Midwest lake view, with tree-covered "hills". You know, green mountains.
I went with a slightly fancier fold for this card, similar to a front-opening invitation, held closed with Braided Linen Trim.
Here's a better look at the front.
I brushed dilute Night of Navy ink over Whisper White card stock for the lake. I added a little bit of Soft Suede ink to the background mountains with a sponge dauber. The sun rays were made with a Post-It Note and sponging.
Here's a photo of the location I had in mind, Lac des Quinze in Quebec.
ETA 9/8/18: While we were up in Quebec, I took a time lapse of the sunrise, which is what I had in mind when I created the card.
Another Waterfront card I've shared previously used the black ice technique.
Hop on over to the fabulous Mary Haugen's blog to see what fun projects she has put together with this week's set.

Talk about picture perfect. This is a total stunner Heidi.
Beautiful, Heidi!
I can just imagine you biking through those mountains in the background! Beautiful cards, Heidi!
Awesome! The sun rays are so cool. What a great idea.
Ahhhhh, green mountains and water; my absolute favorite scenery! After spending most of my life in the brown semi-arid part of the country, I really appreciate the lushness. Your card captures the serenity perfectly!
Wow Heidi - these are all great, but the feature card is breathtaking. I love the colors you used and how you expanded the scene. Gorgeous!
Gorgeous card Heidi. Love the fancy fold and the hint of soft suede adds to the scene
Wow and wow! Love the beautiful scene on the first card and the fun technique for the second.
