The Stamp Review Crew: High Tide

Stamp Review Crew Blog Hop: Inspiring you one stamp set at a time

Welcome to another Stamp Crew Review Blog Hop!  We share our take on a selected stamp set every first and third Monday.  This week we are focusing on a lovely nature / masculine / silhouette set from the main catalog, High Tide.  If you are following the hop in order, you have just arrived from the lovely Lou Kitzelman's blog.

I wanted to focus on the stamps other than the lighthouse, and I was feeling a bit lazy.  Instead of creating a background from scratch, I grabbed a Crushed Curry ombre sheet from the Color Theory DSP pack and worked from there.  Putting spare DSP to a good use is always a plus.

Tangerine Tango was added to the background by brayering and sponging.  I repeatedly stamped the ground and grass stamp images with Smoky Slate and Basic Gray ink to fill in the empty spots.

I also used my friend Jen's fun sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches for this card.

Stamps: High Tide, Lemon Zest; Paper: Tangerine Tango, Crushed Curry, Basic Black, Color Theory DSP; Ink: Tangerine Tango, Crushed Curry, Smoky Slate, Basic Gray, Versamark; Accessories: White Embossing Powder, 3/4" Circle Punch, Brayer, Sponge.

In case you missed it, here are a couple previous samples I have created with High Tide.
