The Stamp Review Crew: Wood Words

Stamp Review Crew Blog Hop: Inspiring you one stamp set at a time

Welcome to another Stamp Crew Review Blog Hop!  We share our take on a selected stamp set every first and third Monday.  This week we are focusing on a hot item from the main catalog, Wood Words, which coordinates with the Wood Crate Framelits.  If you are following the hop in order, you have just arrived from the lovely Lou Kitzelman's blog.

When we moved to our farm in September, my daughter wanted to make good-bye treats for her class, which she could also tuck in her forwarding contact information.  You know, because you always have time to pump out 30 treats when you are shoulder deep in boxes, right?

So we went with the farm theme on some packaging for Kit Kat bars.  To create, start with a 5 x 5" piece of card stock, punch and score at 2" with the Envelope Punch Board. Rotate CCW, and punch and score at 3". Repeat again on the last two sides at 2" and 3".

Stampin' Up! Wood Words
Stamps: Wood Words; Paper: Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Wood Textures DSP; Ink: Crushed Curry, Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso; Accessories: Very Vanilla Baker's Twine, 1" Circle Punch, Envelope Punch Board, Wood Crate Framelits, Big Shot, Dimensionals.

I've been looking at some farmhouse style signs on Etsy and other places, and it got me thinking about a kitchen or foyer wall hanging.

After creating the framed sign, and backed it with a piece of thin die-cut cardboard to result in a thick focal point.

Stamps: Wood Words; Paper: Early Espresso, Basic Black, Wood Textures DSP, Cardboard; Ink: Crumb Cake, Whisper White Craft, Versamark; Accessories: Pearl Jewels, Linen Thread, Silver Mini Brad, White Embossing Powder, Sponges, Hearth & Home Framelits, Big Shot.

ICYMI, here are a couple other projects I have created with Wood Words.
