SSC145 Spotlighting Poppies

Hello Everyone!  Time for another color challenge at Sunday Stamps.

The graphics for this week's challenge reminds me of the retired stamp Pleasant Poppies, and I also came across a card by Jen Timko a few weeks back at Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #270, which was perfect with the image.

The layout was perfect to allow for lots of yummy white space.

I've got a couple hints for you.
  • How to stamp and align the pieces perfectly?  Use a MISTI stamp aligner tool.  Layout and plan the pieces before stamping, marking the edges on the grid paper, for 1/8" matting of the Calypso Coral layer.  Stamp each piece individually.
  • See the Calypso Coral piece peeking out?  Make sure you back the rest of the top focal panel with Calypso Coral as well, and trim just to the edge of the Whisper White.  That will ensure there isn't any show-through of color from underneath as well as wrinkles in the card stock from a change in height.

Here's this week's color combination:

Stamps: Pleasant Poppies, Sunshine Sayings; Paper: Pink Pirouette, Calypso Coral, Early Espresso, Whisper White; Ink: Pink Pirouette, Calypso Coral, Tip Top Taupe, Timber Brown Stazon, Versamark; Accessories: White Baker's Twine, White Embossing Powder, Aquapainter.
