The Stamp Review Crew: Flower Shop
Welcome to another Stamp Crew Review Blog Hop! We share our take on a selected stamp set every first and third Monday. This week we are stamping with the Flower Shop set, which coordinates with the Pansy punch. Stamp, punch, done - it doesn't get easier than that!
If you are following the blog hop order, you have just come from the hugely talented Wendy Weixler's blog. I just love her style!
There are a lot of different art styles in this set, such has hand-drawn doodles, a mixed print or text print, a vintage worn pattern... but I often go for the realistic images.
I'm combining Sunday Stamps #129 with a past STAMPlorations sketch interpretation by Julie Beech. This layout is a little different than just layering a stamped panel, as it adds some nice depth to the card while still keeping a CAS feel.
Using masking, I clear embossed the flower outlines with Tip Top Taupe ink. I followed up with watercoloring and mask stamping the leaves.
Stamps: Flower Shop, Kinda Eclectic, February 2016 Paper Pumpkin Hello Sunshine; Paper: Pear Pizzazz, Wisteria Wonder, Whisper White; Ink: Pear Pizzazz, Old Olive, Wisteria Wonder, Tip Top Taupe; Accessories: Clear Embossing Powder, Aquapainter, Pansy punch, Banner Triple punch.
A neat trick with the Flower Shop set is to mark the lower petal, on the backside of your stamp, that coordinates with the lower petal of the punch. Always stamp that mark on the bottom of your card stock, and no more rotating and rotating to find the right orientation.
Now make sure you check out the next stop to see what Martha Inchley has put together with this week's stamp set.

This is so beautiful Heidi. The colours and crisp white are stunning together and that design is a real wow! xx
This is so pretty, Heidi. I love the coloring of your flowers, they remind me of dogwood blooms. It almost looks like there's light coming from behind them it the back panel.
Gorgeous card, Heidi! I love those flowers peeking through. Great colors, too!

So beautiful and fresh. I just can't wait to give your technique a try. This looks like it should be in an art exhibit!
I just love this, Heidi! Such great masking to create this gorgeous card! XX
This layout is one of my favourites Heidi and your choice of colours & the Flower Shop flower make it look amazing! Kelly x
Love the look this card has. So soft. Looks simple and so sweet.
This is beautiful! Will have to CASE it! :)
What a fabulous design! I love how we get to see the one flower and leaves full on and see just a peek of the others on your vertical strip.
This is one of my all-time favorite layouts, and your color choices are stunning here! This card makes me happy!
This is so light and airy. It looks like the flowers are backlit. Beautiful as usual! And I wish I had known that dot trick before starting my projects- I was doing the rotate this way and that way thing!
