SSC125 Wonderful Watercolors

Time for another Sunday Stamps Challenge.  This week is a beautiful color challenge.

The weather was fabulous this weekend.  I took my colors outside and started watercoloring a background.  I then tried to add some texture by doing some color lifting through a dot stencil.  Here I don't recommend rubbing, as it ends up pilling the watercolor paper.

I really didn't want to lose any of the watercolor background, so I made the panel into a tall and skinny card.  Thank goodness for the Envelope Punch Board!  I'll be able to create an appropriate envelope for this odd-sized card.

HINT: If you have trouble getting a clear stamped image on watercolor paper after stamping several times, don't be afraid to fill in the image with a marker or Sharpie.

Stamps: Inspired by Nature, Simply Wonderful (SAB 2015); Paper: Basic Black, Very Vanilla Core'dinations, Watercolor Paper; Ink: Island Indigo, Pool Party, Wisteria Wonder, Basic Black, Versamark; Accessories: White EP, Dots & Stripes Decorative Masks, Watercolor Brush, Dimensionals.

While I had my colors out, I stamped with the new All About Everything set that came with April's Paper Pumpkin kit.

I used a variation of the Freshly Made Sketches #231. I will be typing up the directions for this card for my Paper Pumpkin Club subscribers. Do you want a fun monthly surprise in your mailbox as well? You can subscribe to Paper Pumpkin by the 10th of the month to receive that month's kit.
