FM222 Messy Peaches

Amy's Friday Mashup challenge is a wild card technique challenge.  For me, I wanted to give the Color Burst watercolor powders a try.

I stamped and clear-embossed the peach image from Silhouettes & Script. Then I sprinkled the powder and spritzed with water, moving the color around.  I did each color separately, and I did end up adding some yellow to the green to lighten up the blue hue.  Just a little bit of powder, like salt shaker amount... these suckers are powerful!  A nice messy background gives rise to this weirdly eclectic card.  :)

The layout comes from Freshly Made Sketches #199.

Here's your Mashup Challenge:

  • Create a Birthday Themed project.
  • Create a project using any kind of Technique you'd like.
  • or Mash it Up! and created a Birthday themed project and any Technique.
Stamps: Silhouettes & Script; Paper: Basic Black, Modern Medley DSP, Watercolor paper; Ink: Cucumber Crush, Peach Parfait, Memento Tuxedo Black, Versamark, Color Burst watercolor powder; Accessories: Silver Sequin Trim, Silver Metallic Thread, Everyday Chic washi tape, Clear embossing powder, Mini Stapler, Banner punch, Sponge.
