FM170 Kintsukuroi Leaves

Hey there!  Time for another Friday Mashup challenge.  Today, we are playing with the Delft tile technique and a sketch.  First I'll share my card, and then I'll give you the background.

Playing along with Splitcoaststampers Mix-Ability challenges as well, MIX57 is inspired by the following - 

I love the last part of that definition!  My interpretation was to grab some In Colors, Hello Honey and Tangelo Twist, sponge on tone-on-tone ink in the center and darker color to edges, spritz, crinkle and ball up, and then unroll to dry.  Once dry, I added a bit of Baked Brown Sugar sponging to the wrinkles, cut the card stock pieces apart to create "veins", and laid them out on a Sticky page.  I was able to apply gold leafing to the exposed sticky areas of the "veins".  The last step was to die-cut the leaves.

In order the mash it up, I stamped the Hardwood background image, then I sponged along the edges of the wood planks in the Delft tile method. This challenge was a lot of fun.  I had these leaves ready to go, and Tara's challenge fit quite nicely in getting the card done.  Thanks, Tara!
