Hi Everyone, Did you get a chance to look at the new catalog yet? I just love stamp sets with matching patterned paper, and there is a really cute, playful set called
Sea Street, along with
Maritime DSP.
This octopus image can be a little tricky, as hand-cutting is a challenge. My goal here was a process to allow as much of the background to show through without inflicting terrible fussy-cutting pain on stampers. Here I laid down one of the Circle Collection framelits and drew the outline with a pencil. Some tentacles lay outside the circle, and I hand-cut around the circle and tentacles. The layout comes from Freshly Made Sketches #136.
Since it is a birthday card, I couldn't resist putting a little birthday hat on Mr. Octopus.
