Quickie Birthday Cards

Somehow I dropped the ball on some October birthdays.  Hmmm, how did I manage that?  Could have been all the traveling we've been doing for the New England Holy Week of Cyclocross recently.

So I pulled together a quickie birthday card. Can't go wrong with a bit of stitching.  I had to use some card stock with nice texture for the front panel - so fun!

I used ColourQ challenge #209 and clean&simple challenge #260 to jump start my crafting.

Stamps: Tape It; Paper: Coastal Cabana, Whisper White; Ink: Daffodil Delight, Real Red, Pumpkin Pie; Accessories: Rhinestone jewels, Expressions Thinlits, Big Shot, Sewing machine, Thread, Dimensionals.

And I needed a quick card for a kiddo birthday party, and I thought of a confetti card I pinned from the Stampin' Up blog by Marisa Gunn.  I just grabbed whatever circle stamps I could find in my stash.

This was also a good opportunity to play with Lydia's bokeh background technique on Splitcoaststampers, which uses a pencil eraser.  Fun to use this year's In Colors for a bright, colorful birthday card!

Stamps: Distressed Dots BG, Itty Bitty Backgrounds, Pencil eraser; Paper: Strawberry Slush, Whisper White, Vellum paper; Ink: Coastal Cabana, Crisp Cantaloupe, Strawberry Slush, Pistachio Pudding, Black Stazon; Accessories: Rhinestone jewels.

The current online hostess code is J2MQAWUE.  Thanks for stopping by!

Both of these designs are so much fun! I love all the dots on the bottom one and the stitching through the "love" on the top one!

Hi, Heidi. I made your confetti card yesterday, and blogged about it (here: https://fourmilesnorthofnowhere.blogspot.com/2019/05/saturday-snail-mail.html ) with a link back to this post. Love your work!
